Gorgeous rustic-coastal bedside and chest of drawers

I'm excited to finally share with you this latest project - a gorgeous coastal bedside and dresser set - which I had fun styling today.

The 'before' pics don't show the challenges it presented, but knowing how much effort went into it, I'm REALLY pleased with the final result.

Initially, my partner and I didn't share the same vision 🤣,
but I can honestly say I have the BEST partner ever. 🥰
He won't ever get the time back, but he has my total admiration for his patience in helping with some of the trickiest challenges.

Thoughtfully prepped, then painted in the beautiful soft blue-grey Devotee Blue (Melange One), and finished with 3 coats of Pureco sealer.

Great staging is everything!

Well, maybe not everything 😉,

But, a visually appealing setting does have the potential to stop the scroll...

And if you include stylish, functional elements in the setting,

it can help people see how your beautifully refinished furniture can work in their living space.

Last weekend, I picked up these three new pieces from Target and a local discount store at a bargain price.

I'm excited about the chance to use them soon.

What, what, what!....

I took on this little project as relief from a larger one, 🤣

But

As you can see from the before pics, it came with it's own set of problems - including being

*filthy
*neglected
*dehydrated
*stained
*damaged drawer bottoms
*1 x bowed drawer front

I decided the bowed drawer-front wouldn't affect the aesthetics or function, so left that alone.

And worked on everything else.

It's the perfect example of what a LOT of TLC (washing, sanding, painting, nourishing, drawer inserts, and new hardware)
can do to turn around a piece that was essentially an ugly duckling,
to something that can take pride of place in a new home.
