This week our sales team took a trip to Brisbane to visit some of our key suppliers. We were lucky enough to get to see how the products we sell are made from start to finish, as well as getting plenty of product training which will no doubt help the Burnie Timber team deliver the right solution to our customers. Recently, Burnie Timber was asked to provide a solution for the Sedi range of products. The brief was simple, the client wanted a timber look but it needed to be low maintenance. After offering a number of options, Knotwood was chosen as it met the brief with the added bonus of being cost effective.

Knotwood is aluminium with the look and feel of timber that won’t rot, warp or require painting and maintenance.

The Self-Mating Slat System was used which gave a great concealed fixing option and was finished off with matching timber-look aluminium caps.

Our first shipment of CD Non Structural Radiata Pine Ply has just arrived. We have thicknesses from 7mm to 25mm in 2400x1200 sheets. This product is perfect for when you require one good face and you don't need a structural rating. It has many uses including hoardings, wall linings, crates and most DIY projects etc.

At Burnie Timber, we are continually trying to evolve and offer more products to the joinery, furniture, wardrobe and manufacturing industries that we supply.
