π§ This SANY digger had pins starting to squeal due to auto greaser issues not delivering grease.
βοΈ We found grease only being delivered to line B, though not enough pressure to actuate the grease injectors, on further inspection we found the 5/2 way valve spool was jammed in a position that was allowing line pressure to bleed off back to tank, not building enough pressure & also not allowing line A to receive grease. We disassembled the spool valve, cleaned it up & freed it up, reassembled and run a self test.
π¨ We now have the system back operational, and grease to all points

π§ So recently we got asked to reseal two hydraulic cylinders on a grader, both were only done fairly recently by another mechanic and are now leaking fairly significantly.
We noticed both rods had a fair bit of scoring & were replaced, but on disassembly we also found the buffer seal & main rod seals were in back to front, and the wear guides were the wrong ones (a thin one and thick one come in the kit as they fit multiple different cylinders) which was allowing the rod to make contact with the steel inner of the gland, causing rod damage, and the seals being in back to front obviously also aided in them both leaking as well
New rods and seals (fitted correctly), it should now be leak free for a while to come

β‘οΈ Hino FC500 with an Allison automatic stuck in 1st gear with faults for transmission slipping.
π§ Checking over live data on the laptop showed input & torque converter speeds reading but no output speed.
βοΈ On inspection of the sensor & harness we found no continuity through one of the wires from sensor to the TCM.
Wiring repaired, faults cleared themselves and it was backing driving as it should.
