Five little aliens went flying one day.

There’s something special about a rhyme that children quickly learn well enough to join in.

The repeated words. The anticipation of what comes next. The excitement of counting down from five, and wondering which little alien will disappear next!

Our Five Little Aliens Felt Puppet Set was handmade to bring that kind of playful participation to songs, stories and group times.

As you sing together, children can move the aliens in and out of the flying saucer, helping them to follow the story with something they can see, touch and manipulate.

And while there is plenty of early counting happening along the way, there are so many other possibilities too:

Once upon a time, there was a very sweet little rabbit…
With his soft blue jacket, tiny buttons, fluffy little tail and a carrot tucked safely in his paws, this little Peter Rabbit was ready for a very special adventure.

He was a custom order, lovingly made to join a collection of Peter Rabbit treasures in a beautiful gift basket for a little one’s very first birthday.

I think it was the tiny details that made him particularly special to create, carefully shaping his little body, stitching his sweet jacket, adding those all-important buttons and, of course, giving him a fluffy tail worthy of any proper Peter Rabbit. And no Peter Rabbit would be complete without a carrot from Mr McGregor’s garden!

After many happy hours of stitching, he was tucked safely into his parcel and sent off on his way, ready to become part of someone’s childhood, perhaps a little friend for story time, tea parties and adventures yet to come.

There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about handmade toys like these. The kind of little treasures that are held onto, loved dearly and, hopefully, one day remembered with a smile.

What a joy it was to make this little fellow.

A little fidget for busy hands.

Some children seem to always have their hands on the move.

Tapping. Twisting. Fiddling. Looking for something to squeeze or explore.

And sometimes, having a small, simple object to focus those busy hands can make all the difference.

This crochet marble fidget donut is soft, tactile, and wonderfully portable. Children can gently move the marble around inside, enjoying the repetitive movement while their hands stay occupied.

It might look like a simple little donut, but it can become a helpful companion during:

Sometimes all children need is a few small characters and a little space for their imagination to take over.

Where are they going?

What might happen when they meet?

Memory games have a wonderful way of turning a simple challenge into 'just one more turn'.

A couple of special custom orders have recently made their way through my little workspace.

First up, a little Spiderman-inspired spider.
Handcrafted from 100% cotton yarn and made especially for a little boy who has spent some time in hospital and happens to be a big Spiderman fan. ❤️
I hope this special little spider brings a few smiles and a little bit of comfort as it makes its way to its new home.

The happy little sun was another special request!
Inspired by the much-loved Jellycat style and crafted from beautifully soft plush yarn, this sunshine was created to accompany an assortment of goodies in a space-themed baby shower gift basket.

I always love being asked to create something a little different. Whether it is a favourite character, a special occasion or an idea you have in mind, custom orders are such a lovely way to create something with its own little story behind it.

Some songs never grow old.

"Five little ducks went out one day" Chances are, as soon as you read those words, you started singing.

Nursery rhymes have a wonderful way of bringing generations together. The songs we remember from our own childhoods often become the very same songs our children ask to hear "just one more time."

These handmade felt finger puppets make those special moments even more magical. Pop them onto your fingers, act out the story together, count the ducks as they disappear, and celebrate when they all come waddling home again.

It's not about getting it right the first time...

Have you ever watched your child concentrate so hard that their little tongue pokes out?

Threading can be like that. They line it up, miss the hole, try again, adjust their hands, and then suddenly, "I did it!"

Those tiny moments of perseverance are worth celebrating.
