What a fantastic weekend at the Queanbeyan Medieval Festival⚔️🏰

The best part? Seeing so many repeat faces. Folks who’d done the workshop in previous years came straight back for more.

On Saturday we weren’t even 1 minute past gates opening and there was already a line. They made a beeline straight for the workshop 😂

The weather was perfect, which made the sword and shield workshop even better.
One of my favorite moments: a mum brought in 3 beautiful swords we’d made for her kids before, and we got to sit down and personalize them together.
A couple of days later I got a photo of them defending their castle.

That. Right there. That’s what makes it all worthwhile 💛

Woke up yesterday morning in Jugiong right beside Count Laszlo’s leather workshop, on the slow drive home from Newcastle.

Tiny logs. Big adventures. ✨

We’ve been in the workshop turning bits of log into handcrafted Castle on the Hill, and they’re finally ready!

It takes 13 precise steps to make each one, and we’re using the good stuff: Red Gum, Birch, London Plane, Elm, Ash, and Camphor Laurel. Every piece of wood has its own grain and color, so each castle is totally one-of-a-kind.

Great for imaginative play, or just as a cute decor piece that actually lasts.

We’re back!

It’s been a few months and we’ve been SUPER busy. We’ve hit a bunch of festivals, met lots of new friends, and spent time with family. It’s been full-on in the best way.

First and foremost, we want to thank the Lord for His provision, protection, and the new people He’s brought into our lives during this season.

Now we’re back in the swing of things and wanted to share what’s coming up:

Woodworking Workshops -
Still on every Wednesday in Beechworth. Same place, same sawdust, same good crew.

New: Fathers + Sons Meet Up -
Once a month we’re kicking off a bonding session. Sit down, yarn about what makes a good father-son relationship, and cook some meat on the BBQ. More details coming soon, but save the date!

Workshop update -
We’ve been deep in a custom kitchen build for a client. Lots of fine detail and proper craftsmanship going into this one. Can’t wait to show you the finished result.
