Today was the best…perfect Autumn morning sunshine, shared with my son, my sister & my best friend & off went our team went with hundreds of others- families, friends, loved ones, communities & colleagues, pounding The Tan pavement to raise money for Melanoma March…doing it together, supporting those who are going through very challenging times, those families & friends who have lost loved ones…we were there to support & help make a vital, positive difference…thank you to the best team I could wish for & our amazing friends & team supporters who together helped us to raise $2190 that will go research reach the goal for zero deaths from Melanoma, THANK YOU!!💕💕💕

Australia has the highest melanoma rates in the world, with one Australian being diagnosed ever 30 minutes. It is the most common cancer affecting 20-39 year old Australians & this must must stop.

Together, every dollar raised continue to fund treatments & research.

Recent advances in pioneering treatment by MIA clinicians & research specialists has tripled the life expectancy for Melanona patients. The ultimate goal by Melanoma Institute of Australia is zero deaths from melanoma, a goal that considered achievable this decade!

Next Sunday is Melbourne’s Melanoma March around the beautiful Tan. It’s a wonderful way to spend a morning with family, friends, and everyone supporting this vital cause and research.

I was 6 years old when my parents were told I had melanoma…imagine their shock, the grief, the worry…
I remember this time so vividly, the immense love from my parents and my amazing sister, the support of my school community and the journey that subsequently followed…
No parent ever wants to hear these words for their child at any age. I was incredibly lucky to have a surgeon and specialists with visionary skills and knowledge to save my leg, & my life.
Walking is a joy and a blessing I never take for granted, so please, help me help so many others who need our support now.
