Millie’s Small Dog Sitting Service In MY HOME pet sitting service for SMALL breeds of dogs ONLY. Dogs get to just be dogs here! Located in Keperra, Inner North Brisbane. I am FULLY INSURED.

SMALL DOG ONLY Dog Sitting Service that provides an in MY home experience for your furry friends. We ask that all dogs that visit are fully vaccinated, up to date with flea and worming treatments and DESEXED. Excessive barkers will not be tolerated, as this is a home environment with neighbours. Daily doggy daycare from 7:00am -6:00pm weekdays. Early/Late pickups and drops off by appointment. CLOSED ON SUNDAYS! This is my HOME, so there is a $5 fee for peeing/pooping inside. This covers chemicals. Vacation care as requested. Book your vacation times FAST. I book really quickly so if you know your dates, then please get in touch asap. Your dog sleeps in our beds/bedrooms/on couches/their bed/crate/wherever they like. ALL Pickups must be before 10am or the daycare fee for that day is added to your bill. Dogs being dogs is the main stay of what I do here. Being able to choose to play, choose who they play with and when, is a big part of it. We appreciate dogs who set boundaries and dogs who respect others boundaries. I have many clients who have rescue dogs, anxious dogs and here to be socialised. I have a great track record working with these types of dogs. My dogs are all rescues and came with their own challenges, they are:
Dukee and Diesel the Tibetan spaniels and Blind Queen Molly, a blind Maltese. Due to my disabilities, we do not do walks, but the yard is large enough and they get plenty of exercise. WE ARE LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY! My assistant is RoRo who is a non binary trans Muslim person. So we don't judge anyone. I used to be a vet nurse but chronic illness and disability stopped that being viable. I am more than happy to medicate your pooch whilst they are here. Dogs are mostly kept in the daycare space and outside while in daycare. But for Sleepovers they can sleep in my bed or wherever they chose.

"Hey lady. Just train your dog!"

Six words.
And those words, they cut deep.

All from someone who judged six seconds of your dog's life.

They just saw your dog react. And in those tiny few slivers of time, they decided you "just" hadn't bothered to train them.

If only they knew.

They don't know that yesterday you had the most amazing walk. Absolutely no reactions and a beautifully relaxed dog beside you.

It was one of those walks. The kind everyone else takes for granted.

But not you. You celebrate them. It's a wee lift in your spirits for the rest of the day. Because you know just how much work went into that walk.

And if you see a reactive dog?
Don't judge.

The person at the other end of the lead probably critiques themselves enough already. You have absolutely no idea how much love, work and determination went into every single moment before that reaction.

But those other people living with reactive dogs?
They absolutely understand.

Behind every reactive dog is a person who is trying. So hard.

But the reactive dog community?
We well and truly have your back.

Oh I hate telling people this.

"He loves belly rubs!"

He might. Just not this one. Not right now.

That belly up, paws tucked, whale eye, mouth tight? That's not "more please." That's a "please stop."

A lot of dogs learn to tolerate touch that they don't actually enjoy.

So we pause. We check.
Does he actively seek more?

If not, we let it end.

If we only listen when they say yes, we're not really listening.
