For Barcelona Design Week, BD Barcelona opened its Poblenou showroom to the public for two days, presenting five decades of design through a curated selection of pieces spanning the 1970s to today.

The program concluded with a conversation between BD cofounder Oscar Tusquets and Nacho Alegre, reflecting on the brand’s history and evolution, seated on the latest chapter in Tusquets’ story with BD: the Simplex chair.

A new perspective on architectural detail. Hex by introduces a distinctive six-sided profile across lighting, hardware and switches, reimagining the London design brand’s signature solid-metal craftsmanship.

We brought the design community together in Sydney and Melbourne to preview the collection with founder and creative director Massimo Buster Minale.

Thank you to Massimo, the Buster + Punch team and everyone who joined us.

The Hex collection will be available in 2027.

A relaxed invitation to linger outdoors, the 1966 Adjustable Chaise by Richard Schultz for Knoll combines comfort, movement and considered construction.

Its form follows the natural contours of the body, while breathable mesh and an adjustable backrest provide flexible support. Designed for everything from slow afternoons in the sun to moments of quiet retreat, it brings an easy sense of comfort to outdoor spaces.

Thomas Heatherwick’s Spun Chair for Magis turns seating into a playful, kinetic experience, inviting movement through its continuous sculptural form.

Designed to rock gently and rotate through 360 degrees, Spun brings an unexpected sense of movement to everyday seating. Crafted from rotational-moulded polyethylene, it is equally at home indoors or out, balancing bold design with everyday function.

Inspired by Art Deco geometry and mid-century design, Hex brings a new dimension to the Buster + Punch™ design language, extending from door handles and cabinet hardware to modular lighting and the brand’s first outdoor-ready entrance door pull.

Created by founder and creative director Massimo Buster Minale, the collection combines crisp facets, solid metal and considered proportions to create a tactile, architectural expression across the details of an interior.

The Hex collection will be available in 2027.

Set in Red Hill, Victoria, Bassano B&B brings together architecture, interiors and a considered collection of furniture to create distinct experiences throughout the property.

Working across architecture and interiors, Tom Robertson Architects and Simone Haag gave each space its own character, pairing contemporary Australian design with Italian pieces that reflect the clients’ personal connection to Italy.

Among the collection is the Radiofonografo, originally designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1965 for Italian electronics brand Brionvega. With its sculptural form and innovative approach to technology, the piece has become an enduring icon of Italian design.

Eclipso Shelving brings a softer perspective to open storage. Designed by Jaime Hayon for BD Barcelona, its form takes inspiration from the magic of a lunar eclipse, with rounded forms and earthy tones creating a sense of rhythm and balance.

Hayon describes the design as a return to simplicity, where less becomes more. The result is a considered piece that brings practical storage together with a distinctive architectural presence.

Available exclusively through Living Edge in Australia.

Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945 as an experiment in moulded plywood, the Elephant is defined by its distinctive curves and oversized ears.

Now reimagined in 100% recyclable post-industrial plastic, the Eames Elephant by Vitra brings the design into contemporary interiors, with a playful spirit that never takes itself too seriously.
