to this time last year when we were on the Busted vs McFly tour.

Here’s a little chat about how I approached mixing the ambient mic’s and how I place them in the 3D space using immersive processing.

It’s been a while since I made any new YouTube content - but fear not - I’ll be back on the case shortly.

On what would have been my Dad’s 80th birthday, the Mrs and I can celebrate 8 years of being massive lightweight, non drinking, going to bed early, funless, born again, judgmental, self righteous wankers!

Honestly, giving up drinking is the best thing we have ever done - I wish we’d done it 20 years earlier.

I don’t often visit music shops these days, especially with Ozztashey Ozz , because she has this thing where she makes me think I don’t have enough guitars…

Today, I let her take me to a guitar shop, and now I have this very nice acoustic to add to my Ibanez Guitars collection…

I like it a lot.

Northern Hemisphere PM’s / TM’s : I’m heading back to the UK in November - exact dates TBC - and it would be good to put a bit of work together for a few weeks while I’m there.

So if anyone has a little tour-ette in Nov/Dec that needs a fader pusher at either end of the string - hit me up if you think I’d be suitable.

Cheers m’dears!

Vintage, baby! You can really hear the warmth from the USB2.0! 🤣

I built this drive rack a few years ago, and along with my SD9, it’s done a few trips around Australia with me.

Now, it’s pretty much resigned to my little room at home, because most of my work these days is not in Australia, and most of the tours I do, need something a little bit newer.

But I like having these things at home, so I can do some basic session prep, or get rough mixes dialled in, ready to convert the SD9 file to whatever console I’m using for the tour.

The 2012 Mac Mini’s are starting to show their age (as am I!), but it all mostly still works as it should…

Old dogs, new tricks…

Yeah, that.

Taking some time to learn SoundBase whilst I’m home and have not much to do. I think it’s going to become my go to thing for coordinating RF.

Nice to be home, so I can pretend I’m still cool (was I ever cool?) cruising around town with my 20 year old daughter in her sporty little Beamer.

“Oh, you’re nice and early, Mr Osman…” said the man scanning my boarding pass at the Qantas lounge…

Well, yes, I am early - seven hours early, in fact. But when the choice is to sit in reception at a very average Premier Inn for hours, or, sit in the Qantas lounge making very good use of the free zero beers, and multiple food options, I mean, what would you do?

… and so it begins, my little hop across the pond back to Brisbane, just in time for spring and summer.

UK - it’s been emotional! Laters, baked ‘taters!

Straya - crank up the barbie! I’ll be in you in about 30 hours!
