After some seriously passionate kitchen island arguments, Kelly took out our $50 voucher giveaway with what we have to admit was a pretty compelling case for keeping the island clear. 😂

Apparently we’re exactly her type. 😏

We’re not entirely sure what she saw in our profile that made her think, “Yep… that’s the one.”

Maybe it was the kitchens.
Maybe it was the custom cabinetry.
Maybe it was the soft-close drawers. ❤️

Whatever it was, we’re flattered.

Dating as a cabinetry business is apparently going pretty well. 😂

And yes… the DM was real. We genuinely received a message telling us that a friend thought we were “her type” and kindly providing her Snapchat details. 😂

We’d like to say our craftsmanship is irresistible, but this one was definitely giving scam vibes. 🚩

Once the cabinetry is installed, it can feel like the kitchen is almost finished, but there are still several important stages to go before you can start using it.

First, the benchtops need to be templated. The templates are used to fabricate the benchtops before they are installed.

There is a waiting period between cabinetry installation and benchtop installation, as well as between benchtop installation and splashback installation. The length of these waiting periods depends on a number of factors, including the material being used, who is fabricating it, the complexity of the job, and the availability of the installation team.

Once the benchtops are installed, the splashbacks can be templated, fabricated and installed. For tiled splashbacks, the tiler can generally come in once the benchtops are installed and complete the splashback on site. Once the splashbacks are installed, the final electrical and plumbing fit-off can take place.

So, while seeing the cabinetry go in is a big milestone, it doesn’t mean your kitchen is ready to use just yet. There are still several trades and stages to coordinate before everything is complete, connected, and ready to use.

Our biggest tip? Be prepared for the downtime.

Before your kitchen is taken out of action, consider cooking and freezing some meals ahead of time, prepare to wash dishes in your laundry, or prepare to use your BBQ or air fryer for cooking. A little planning before the renovation begins can make the period without a functioning kitchen much easier to manage.

For our bespoke cabinetry projects, our clients are invited to a factory inspection before their cabinetry leaves our Perth workshop. This is especially important for painted cabinetry, like this Loretta Shaker profile, as the inspection takes place before the cabinetry is sent off to be professionally 2 pack painted.

It gives our clients the opportunity to see the cabinetry in person, review the details, proportions and workmanship, and make sure everything is exactly as intended before the final finish is applied.

We don’t flat pack.
We don’t mass produce.
We build bespoke cabinetry specifically for your home.

From our workshop in Perth, through factory inspection, professional finishing and finally installation, every stage is considered.
