Just delivered! This beautiful oak media and display cabinet looks even better in place than at the studio, with early morning light basking it in warmth and creating playful shadows. In order to get the full 3m cabinet up several floors with only a tiny elevator, it was made in components, the top and bottom sandwhich the inside cabinets. Precision made expanded slots and hardware ensure it all came together easily maintaining perfect alignment for the sliding doors, with continuous horizontal grain to accentuate its length. The little ‘outrigger’ on the end is a cute flourish - perfect for showcasing an indoor plant, basket, sculpture or the like. Thanks to for supplying the stunning French Oak.

Excited to have made this fabulous reception desk for the newest gallery in Cottesloe. This graceful yet playful piece was designed by and features a lovely fluting detail referencing topological points along a walk down Gibney Street, where the gallery sits.
The piece was challenging to construct in many respects. There is a bevy of internal structural components to provide the necessary strength and stiffness for the cabinet to hold a bank of drawers and an internal shelf on the reverse side on display and to permit the desk to rest on castors so that it can be moved around in its space. The stunning curves of varying radiuses all had a different number of vertical flutes and added to the task was the alternate cutaway detail on the front flutes which were CNC fabricated in-house. The stain was painstakingly prepared and applied by my fantastic polisher Michael Brooker who was instrumental in helping to realise the vision of this substantial build.

An intriguing structure, created for a large lighting installation made up of many arcs and oblongs. Seemingly simple, these were a little tricky to manufacture on the CNC as they need precision slots and undercuts to receive the mating sheet metal exterior panels.

Closeup on the latest Sheoak tallboy, showing the contrasting solid Tas Oak drawers. Lovely straight grain, strong and lightweight make it a good choice for drawer components.

A recent addition to the skel product line up: the Legno dining chair. An unupholstered yet comfortable dining chair, owing to its sculpted seat and back. The soft curves resolve in crisp edges for a defined silhouette, while being inviting to the touch. Pictured in some stunning curly Marri, completely free of resin ducts and dark feature.
