Exploring the idea of an object that can shift between function, form and artistic expression. Containa Ch*****ne Bucket is exactly that, a piece that is both symbolic and useful.
We had some fun styling this one! captured beautifully by Matt McQuiggan
CCB was created for National Gallery of Victoria MDW exhibition Sense of Occasion by Thomas Maxam Studio in collaboration with Hamish Donaldson
Very excited to have this piece shortlisted for an Australian Design Review IDEA Award in the Object, Furniture & Lighting – Professional category.

Shortlisted: Through The Looking Glass is up for an Australian Design Review IDEA Award in the Event category.
In collaboration with Studio John Fish
Commissioned by Chadstone for Light to Night Festival.
Through The Looking Glass transforms reflection into an immersive sculpture exploring light, movement, material and space, inviting audiences to become part of the composition. Shifting with every gesture and change in light, the work creates an experience that is playful, disorienting and reflective.
We’re excited to see the project recognised alongside such an inspiring group of projects within the category.

Proud to have Containa Ch*****ne Bucket/Vase shortlisted for an Australian Design Review IDEA Award in the Object, Furniture & Lighting - Professional category.
A new addition to the Containa series, created for Thomas Maxam Studio’s exhibition Sense of Occasion, in collaboration with the incredibly talented Hamish Donaldson.
The piece brings together Containa’s familiar language with Hamish Donaldson’s beautiful hand-blown glasswork, exploring the idea of an object that can shift between function and form.
Very happy to see this one recognised alongside so many great Australian designers. 🤍
