We are seeking applications from casual Labourers (retail logistics and basic landscaping) and Painters (of all experience levels) to support the growth of our local business. If you, or someone you know, might be interested – please consider the following opportunity:


About GMC

We are a growing Melbourne-based commercial facilities maintenance business located in Chirnside Park. We serve the needs of property owners in the commercial, industrial, retail, and not-for-profit sectors and aim to deliver high quality results to our clients, with integrity and excellence, every time.


About the roles

We are currently seeking to fill a temporary labour shortage to assist in the fulfilment of several contracts, namely;

1. Labourer (Retail): Assisting with the installation of price tag labels in a large retail environment. We require applicants to be able to drive to the store, work on their feet, indoors in a clean, comfortable retail store environment for an 8 hour shift, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and possibly Wednesdays. Training will be provided on-site, with a paid fifteen minute break in the morning, and a half an hour unpaid break for lunch. We’re fostering a great team environment and as such we’ve implemented the provision of a hot drink or smoothie on the morning break – our shout.

2. Labourer (Landscaping): Assisting with basic landscaping of carpark garden beds, including planting native grasses, transporting materials in wheelbarrows and carts, and using a metal rake to evenly spread soil and mulch. We require applicants to be able to drive to the store, work on their feet in an outdoors environment anywhere up to an 8 hour long shift (weather dependent). Once again – please enjoy a free coffee/hot drink/smoothie with morning tea each day – on us.

3. Painter: Assisting with both internal and external painting at residential, Commercial, and retail sites, with typical duties including protecting surfaces, preparing and coating substrates, recommendation and provision of appropriate paints, application of products while adhering to health and safety standards, completing jobs in a clean, and efficient manner. We look forward to crafting a role that suits your availability and pay commensurate with experience.


About you

The ideal candidate would fulfill the following criteria:

• Personable with great communication skills
• Work autonomously & follow instructions
• Enthusiastic within their work environment
• Takes pride in their work ethic
• Holds a current, valid Australian driver’s Licence
