Today we go pink. AWE Group is proud to support Pink Ribbon Day and everyone affected by breast and gynaecological cancers.

For the mums, partners, sisters, daughters, friends and workmates who have faced a diagnosis, the ones still going through it, and those we’ve lost.

A quick reminder that could make a real difference: women aged 50 to 74 can get a free mammogram every two years through BreastScreen, and women from 40 can book too. Call 13 20 50. If you need someone to talk to, Cancer Council’s support line is 13 11 20.

Please welcome Susan Bethel, our new Head of People & Culture at AWE Group.

Susan joins us with years of experience across HR, organisational development and workforce strategy. She’s spent her career building teams that work well together and helping people step up into leadership.

We’ve grown to more than 180 people across WA, Queensland and Victoria, from workshop fabricators to field crews on site around the clock. Every one of them chose to be here, and Susan’s job is to make sure the next great tradesperson does too, and that they want to stay.

It’s the kind of role that doesn’t always get the spotlight, but it shapes everything we do. Work together. Win together.

AWE is delighted to welcome Lawrence (Laurie) Phillips to AWE Group as our new Executive General Manager.

Laurie joins AWE at an exciting time as we continue to expand our engineering, manufacturing and field service capability across Australia.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience across mining services, heavy equipment and power systems, Laurie has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams, driving operational excellence and delivering outstanding outcomes for clients. Having progressed from the tools through to executive leadership, he brings a unique combination of technical expertise, commercial acumen and people-first leadership.

As Executive General Manager, Laurie will play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of AWE. Working closely with our leadership team, he will strengthen operational performance, enhance our client partnerships, develop our people and support the continued growth and diversification of the business.

As we continue building AWE Built and AWE Beyond, Laurie's experience and leadership will help drive our vision of becoming one of Australia's leading engineering, manufacturing and mining services businesses.

Another major milestone delivered by the AWE Built team.

This CAT 6040 excavator bucket has undergone a complete lip conversion and armour upgrade and is now ready to return to work in the Pilbara, supporting one of Australia's critical lithium operations.

Projects like this demonstrate more than fabrication capability, they showcase the experience, precision and workmanship that keep some of the world's largest mining assets operating safely and reliably.
