Whatโ€™s stopping you from joining us for a weekend at Women on the Tools?

Look at the smiles on theses faces from last weekend! These lovely humans tested their skill at whittling or learned how to build a bookshelf and all left full of joy and excitement for the next project!

A quieter weekend in the workshop this week, but lots going on in the background - watch this space ๐Ÿ‘€

We still had some very cheery faces come through and everyone left with lots of ideas - some even saying they would stop to get supplies on the way home!! On the schedule was Home Maintenance 101 (Tool Skills) and 104 (Tiling).

Is there something youโ€™ve been wanting to learn? Stop waiting and join us!! See you soon :)

Our Woodcarving and Whittling course is running this Saturday afternoon and there is nothing quite like spending a few hours doing something with your hands just because you want to!

Whittling is the craft of using a knife and hand tools to carve wood into shapes and sculptures. It is relaxing, it is meditative and it requires absolutely no experience, no expensive equipment and no workshop at home to keep practising. All you need is a knife and a comfortable chair.

In three hours you will learn the basics of wood grain and wood types, how to work safely with a carving knife, whittling techniques and how to hand sand your finished piece. And you will go home with your very own hand carved palm sized duck that you made entirely by yourself. ๐Ÿฆ†

This Saturday spots are still available but they will not last long.

If this week does not work for you this course runs regularly so head to womenonthetools.com.au to find a date that suits and jump on the waitlist if your preferred date is already gone.

Last minute spots available โ€” and we would love to see you in the workshop this week. ๐Ÿ”ง

Our Women Only Introduction to Carpentry: Make a Carry Caddy is the perfect first step into the workshop for anyone who has never picked up a tool in their life.

No experience. No prior knowledge. No intimidation. Just a half day course that starts from absolute zero and ends with something you built yourself.

In just four hours you will get hands on with a drill driver, learn how to measure and cut accurately, practice simple joinery and get comfortable in a workshop environment.

Our instructors are with you the whole way through so there is no such thing as a silly question and nobody gets left behind.

At the end of the day you take home a carry caddy you built entirely by yourself. Perfect for your knitting, gardening tools, sewing supplies or anything else that needs a good home.

Women only. Maximum six participants. Morning tea provided because of course it is. โ˜•

These last few spots will not last long. If this week does not work for you, do not worry โ€” this course is back next month and you can jump on the waitlist now to be first in line.

Head to womenonthetools.com.au to grab one of the last remaining spots or add yourself to the waitlist.
