"Longhorn" - This beautifully rustic chest of drawers is believed to be 100yrs old. Thoughtfully recreated to retain all of the characteristics that come with a piece of this age, only repairs to improve it's structural integrity were made to ensure functionality for many more years to come!
Layers of earthy neutral paint, texture & rustic detailing create a patina finish to compliment the natural wear on the drawer tops, the imperfect hand-cut dovetail joins & slightly battered top. All of the drawers slide well on new timber runners. The entire piece has been sealed for protection & durability.
Perfect in a bedroom, entryway statement piece or accent storage in a living space or even a business. Ideal for modern farmhouse, elevated rustic and/or country styled spaces.

The design concept for this vintage timber bow front sideboard changed a couple of times from my original plan after it served up some curve balls but I am really happy with the end result. Painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in the beautiful grey toned green Chateau Grey. Embellishments on the doors have been highlighted with warm antique gold. The legs were stripped & lightened to achieve a patina effect. Original hardware has been retained & refreshed. The cutlery drawer has been given a nice glow up with the addition of MINT by michelle's Green Tapestry decoupage paper & a coat of resin for a glass like finish. ***SOLD***This vintage display cabinet started out orange & outdated with a missing shelf & broken lock, perfect for a re-creation! Thoughtfully updated to keep a vintage feel with very light distressing to give natural wear, along with a vintage patterned paint inlay on the backboard. Original hardware has been retained & refreshed. The shelves are removable increasing it's functionality. Painted in a beautiful Duck Egg Blue & sealed for durability. All paints & sealers used are Australian made low/no VOC. Being a piece of furniture it does has very fine scratches in the side glass panels that can only be seen when up close.

SOLD! Loving the combination of moody green teal & classic MCM styling on my latest piece!
Manufactured by the iconic Australian mid century furniture designers Hayson Furniture, era 1960's to early 1970's. This piece has very little wear for it's age. Thoughtfully recreated to give a contemporary feel while retaining it's MCM vibes. Painted with low VOC Porters AquaSatin in the colour Gulf Stream, the teak veneer & beautiful timber lip pulls have been rejuvenated & protected using Fiddes Hard Wax Oil. A truly versatile piece of furniture that could be used as a dresser, sideboard or tv/entertainment unit. Dimensions - 152cm W, 46cm D, 71.5cm H

I finally found some time to complete this beauty!
This vintage silky oak sideboard has characteristics expected with it's age but overall was in very good condition & I thought it would be the perfect piece to compliment the gorgeous ‘Sweet Bird in Blue’ decoupage paper.

Neutral shades from the MINT by michelle mineral paint range were blended to match the decoupage paper. Internally the doors, drawers & shelves have been painted with my favourite teal Fusion Chestler for a moody vibe. All of the timber was finished using fortified stain & sealer in Jaconbean.
Beautiful vintage French escutcheons were sourced for the doors as the original hardware had been replaced when I purchased the sideboard. Very happy with the end result.

SOLD 'Manumbar’ named after the rural Queensland town on the manufacture stamp. This lovely old silky oak & plywood sideboard came to me with a classic dark vintage stain, some cool old hand-cut nails & some broken plywood but still in great shape with plenty of life to give.

Now with a more modern timber aesthetic, custom designed paper for the inside door panels, new brass hardware, lashings of Pureco furniture wax & a few repairs this sideboard is ready to find it’s new home.
