Hi BLC Members and Friends,

Just a remider that we have our next club comp on Sunday 8th of November, meeting at 6.30am First Ave Burleigh on the Esplanade. See you all there.

Also a reminder to get on and pay for our club presentation which will be held the Burleigh Surf Club on the 6th of December starting at 5.30pm. Cost is $30.00 for adults and $20.00 for juniors. Will be a great night with another custom board draw for members and other prizes. Jason and I will have the bank app set up if you want to pay at the comp if you need it otherwise pay straight into the Burleigh Longboard Club account. BSB - 034-238 account number - 166954.

Hi BLC Crew, Darryl and Vanessa went to see Ted yesterday. They said is is pretty frail and rarely leaves his room. And its hard to believe that he's a bit cranky, for those of us that know him I find that hard to believe.
A great Clubman and bloody good human- stay strong Ted Huren - Club Legend.

Had a few members compete in the Evans Head Malibu Classic over the long week end. Don't have any results yet but will post when they're available.

Some footage from last Sunday’s Sept. club round of Blair Abernethy making the surf look much better than it was. Blair and Digby absolutely ripped in their Round 1 heat - footage of Digby to follow soon ….

Hi BLC Members and Friends

Thanks for another great comp last Sunday. Was a hard day with some average banks at Burleigh due to all the sand pumping at the moment, but am sure it will settle in the next few months. The heats were really competitive and a super high standard with some great scores in all heats being locked in!

The results were:

Final:
1st Mick Nielson
2nd Blair Abernathy
3rd Danny O’Brien
Last: Nik Babs

First in the 2nds Digby
First in the 3rds Perri Close
First in the 4ths Mick Tait

Shout out to all those members that could make it to Black Hops after the comp for a catch up, the Pizzas took a little long but that did give Phil Smith a bit of extra time to down few 8% Super Hornets!

October comp will be on the 18th of October yes I know it’s the 3rd week.

Don’t forget to get your Xmas party and Presentation night payment in for the 6th of December – Burleigh Surf Club Function area starting at 5.30pm, cost $30.00 / adult and $20 for juniors. Please pay into the BLC account: BSB 034-238, account number - 166954

Congratulations to Lulu and Hosea Mathies on a very successful Aussie Titles campaign! Lulu won the Open Women’s and got second in the U/18s while Hosea got a third in the U/18 boys. Congratulations you two! Absolutely ripping!!!🎉🎉🎉🤙🤙🤙

Hi BLC members and friends,

Thanks for a great comp on Sunday with some fantastic surfing on a nice little left hand bank. For those of you that couldn't make it we had a beautiful sunny offshore day with fun 1ft - 2ft waves at First Ave Burleigh.

Dom had the wipeout of the day on a big bommie set out the back and there was a really tough final with Hosea and Lulu going wave for wave!

1st in the fourths - Blaise
1st in the Thirds - Eddie
1st in the Seconds - Nylah

Finally good luck to the BLC team ( Lulu, Hosea and Denis Carbs) competing in the Australian Titles at Caba in a few weeks time!
