Our favourite repair from last week! A gorgeous soft toy dog that needed some surgery to fix its limbs! Thanks to our hand sewer Katherine who did a great fix it job.
We are open again Sunday 13/9 for all your repairs. 2-4 pm, 180 Longueville Road, Lane Cove.

First Repair cafes of spring are coming up! Sunday 6 and 13 September, 2-4 pm, 180 Longueville road, Lane Cove. No need to book, just turn up.
No ceramics this month but everything else will be available as usual.
Holes in jeans? Soft toys falling apart? Broken lamp, bag strap failing? Necklace broken? Also it’s a good time to check your winter jerseys for holes before you stash them away, yes we can darn them and teach you how to darn them.

Next Sunday 9/8, 2pm, we will be holding a Hemming Workshop for people who need help to turn up trousers or skirts that are too long. (As this is an alteration we don’t do this as part of our repair service.) However we would like to share skills on how to do this yourself. So we can guide you through the process and we will have a sewing machine available for you to use. Bring your own garment that needs shortening. (No jeans or stretchy, pleated garments as they are too tricky if this is a new skill for you).
All other repair stations open as usual!

Need a repair? Our amazing team of volunteer fixers will be available on Sundays August 2 and 9 at 180 Longueville Road Lane Cove, 2-4 pm.

Just a reminder that we focus on repairs rather than alterations to new clothes. We are planning a ‘take up a hem ‘ workshop by the sewing team-date to be confirmed.

Next Sydney North Repair Cafe opening days are 7/6 and 14/6. No bookings required, just turn up with your broken item, get some advice and learn some new skills. Sorry no jewellery on 7/6. We cannot offer ceramic repairs this month. If you are a ceramicist who would like to join our amazing team of volunteers, just 2 hours a month, we’d love to hear from you!

Yes we will be open on Mothers’ Day! Sunday 10 May. 2-4 pm, 180 Longueville Road Lane Cove. Lots of visitors came along last Sunday to choose to repair rather than toss. They also learnt some new skills. Check out these puppets that the visitors repaired themselves with guidance from one of the sewing team. Jewellery repairs will be available this Sunday as well as all the usual repairs.
