A little BTS of Søuld making its way into GroupGSA new Sydney Design Studio.

As their new workspace centres around circularity and natural materials, Søuld was the perfect acoustic solution.

We’re very excited to see this project come to life and can’t wait to share the final result.

Søuld is an acoustic product manufactured in Denmark, made from eelgrass - a natural, carbon-binding material that is rooted in a 400-year-old Danish building tradition, where eelgrass was used to create durable, protective homes.

Today, Søuld translates this heritage into contemporary acoustic solutions, bringing an abundant natural material into modern architecture.

Square Bear Acoustics are proud to partner with .dk to help bring more sustainable, natural and organic acoustic materials to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

A week of colour, texture and design inspiration.

From Chicago to Copenhagen, some of our team explored NeoCon, Design Days and 3daysofdesign, discovering the materials, finishes and ideas shaping the future of commercial interiors.

It was great to catch up with our friends Søuld in their space, showcasing COMPOSED MATTER which explored materiality, light and atmosphere.

Swipe through for some of our favourite moments from the trip.

Søuld | Acoustic Eelgrass

Developed in Denmark and made from responsibly sourced eelgrass, Søuld is a naturally regenerative sea plant that delivers excellent sound absorption, low emissions, and long-term durability.

This abundant sea plant has a short life cycle where its leaves detach from the roots during windy weather and washes ashore without human intervention where it's then collected, dried and processed into panels for use.
