Broken Bones

Needed a space to study this year so tried getting this piece done before Xmas. Got there just but looking back I would have liked to do things a bit different if I’d had the time. Not super stoked about the shiny lacquer or the hardware but it’ll do 👌

No before pic of this one. Another hard rubbish save. Sold in 24hours 🫣 kinda wanted to keep her myself not gonna lie.

Even though I still have a bunch of other things going on I grabbed this free dresser (or at least sent Dan to grab it with the work Ute 😘)
Got it in the garage and realised it is more than a little broken and scratched up. Gonna have to be a paint job with all that filling 🤦🏼‍♀️ why do I do these things?
The “after” on this one could take a while!

This one took MONtHs because I just didn’t like it or have confidence in it. It nearly broke me a few times and I nearly lost a finger but I’ve finally finished and listed it. Wish me luck ! Just want this fu**er gone.

Tried using filler to do some textured door inlays. My vision was waaaay better than the result but what are u gonna do 🤷🏼‍♀️

Group effort on my new dog proof veggie patch. Got my supplier aka husband, and my lackie aka father on board to make this happen. Minus a couple of spare fence pailings this was all created from recycled and repurposed (aka free) materials.
Now grow dammit !

Got my little apprentice to work this week on a plastic mannequin we found at the op shop. A bit of rust paint and there u have it

Sat on this for ever, wasn’t very inspired and garage got a little balmy over summer tbh. Finally finished and just want to see it gone 😆

Also the universe has a funny way of keeping me going with this hobby. As soon as I finish a piece something else appears on the side of the road ….

Wasted space good for not much but a dust bath for the chooks so Dan and I scratched around for some old pallets and wood pailings and made a little floating deck. My new favourite spot to sit and watch my animals roam 🥰

Old colonial pine TV cabinet in desperate need of a fix up. I was looking forward to getting my hands dusty again … 4 hrs later and I’m over it already 😫 this one could take a while

Small break from furniture flipping to rig up a catio for Darceys two mates. Still some decorating to do but it gets them outdoors for now. Being in a rental we had to be smart about how to attach it for easy pull down. Hope it holds up in this sh*tty weather 😻
