New Arrival: Substantial Table Lamp attributed to Pietro Chiesa, Italy, c1930s, sourced from a bank in Rome. A tall, patinated brass column with turned timber fittings rises from a circular timber base inset with a substantial disc of clear glass, its thick edge revealing a green tint. Globes within the shade provide diffused illumination, complemented by a central uplight. The generous drum shade has been custom-made by our team using a Braquenié fabric by Pierre Frey, featuring white embroidered lions against a pale green ground and finished with coordinating braided trim.⁣

New Arrival: ‘Jangada’ Lounge Chair and Footstool, designed by Jean Gillon in Brazil, 1968. Inspired by the traditional fishing rafts of Bahia, the chair features a hand-crafted jacaranda frame supporting a suspended rope net that cradles the padded leather cushions. Broad, rounded armrests flank the seat, while tall rear uprights support a separate leather headrest. The open rope construction remains visible around the sides and back, contrasting with the rich grain of the timber and the original leather upholstery. The matching footstool features a buttoned leather cushion set between gently curved jacaranda rails.⁣

New Arrival: A unique Floor Lamp designed by Enea Bracciali, Italy, 1990. The lamp features a chromed tubular metal frame rising from a stepped circular base and returning in a narrow loop at the top. An adjustable arm supports a large, flared glass shade with a mottled tortoiseshell effect. Sliding fittings allow the light to be raised or lowered, while articulated joints enable the shade to be angled as required. A curved hook on the upright holds the cable, adding a distinctive functional detail. The lamp is signed on the base.⁣

New Arrival: Pair of Sun-Loungers - in the manner of Lio Carminati, and produced in Italy, c1950s. The white-painted metal frames feature sweeping side rails and gently curved seats, with adjustable backrests supported by hooked rear brackets. Small scrolls finish the tops of the backrests, while spoked rear wheels allow the loungers to be repositioned with ease. We have newly upholstered the fitted cushions in an outdoor performance fabric by Jim Thompson.⁣

The chair features continuous bentwood armrests that curl inwards to form large spiral supports beneath the seat. The gently reclining backrest and seat are woven with fine natural cord in an open basketweave pattern. An unusual example of 20th-century European furniture design.⁣

Four black enamelled steel legs support the table, their upper ends finished with square brass caps visible beneath the glass at each corner. Crafted from walnut, the chairs feature elegantly shaped open backs with hand-carved floral details and decorative turned uprights. Fluted armrests and slender turned front legs continue the fine detailing of the frames. We have newly upholstered the seat cushions in a textured coral fabric by Italian textile company l’Opificio.⁣

New Arrival: Pedestal, produced in France, c1930s. Crafted in figured walnut, the pedestal features a square top with a raised moulded edge above a stepped apron. A four-sided column tapers towards the base, where concave surfaces flare outwards to meet a square plinth. The carefully arranged veneers emphasise the geometry of the form, with vertical grain along the column and chevron patterns across the apron and base. A beautifully executed example of French Art Deco design.⁣
