The road safety conversation is far from over.

TAC recently shared a report that raises important questions about safety on our roads. There’s still so much we need to talk about.

Here are my thoughts — Part 3.

A little bit of exciting news for us… Safe Roads For Us is heading into NSW.

Community Bank Bexley has now started the process of bringing our road safety conversations into their local community, and we’d love to see more communities do the same.

If you’re part of a sporting club, community group, school, youth organisation or Community Bank in NSW and think this could make a difference in your area, reach out.

One conversation can change honestly everything.

Do you know the safest choice when tiredness hits while driving?

Choose your answer before checking the comments:

A, B or C?

Tag someone who drives long distances and see if they know the answer.

Recently, TAC shared a report highlighting some important road safety concerns.

Here are my thoughts on the findings, the risks we face on the road, and the choices we make every day that can help keep ourselves and others safe.

Take a moment to watch, listen, and share your thoughts.

A big thank you to Community Bank Altona & Laverton and Laverton Youth for supporting Safe Roads For Us and helping us share this important message.

While heading off, I saw something that reminded him of a simple truth —sometimes, walking away is a choice.

Making the safe choice can make all the difference.

Speak up. Walk away. Stay safe. Get home safe.

Watching the Grand Final with family and mates?

Here is today’s road-safety question:

What BAC must a Victorian learner or probationary driver have before driving?

The answer is zero.

If you plan to drink, make the decision about getting home before the first drink—not after it.

Choose a designated driver, arrange a lift or use public transport.

Enjoy the game. Protect your mates. Get everyone home safely.

Roundabout rule check:

You must give way to vehicles already in the roundabout.

Slow down, check the traffic and enter only when there is a safe gap.

Even when you believe it is safe to enter, never assume another road user has seen you.

The safest driver is not the one who forces their way through. It is the one who avoids the crash.
