Fifteen years ago we had the exciting pleasure of opening our store - Recycled Lane - on High street in Northcote. From that moment on, we began providing creative solutions and statement pieces for homes, retail spaces and corporate locations here and interstate. It has been such a joy to see our pieces grace these diverse locations…and it has been fabulous getting to know all the wonderful people we met and worked with along the way, many of whom became good friends over the years.

The time has now come to close this chapter of Recycled Lane, move out of our current location, downsize and develop it into something new…what that something new will be, remains to be seen…but we are excited and look forward to sharing it with you, after some time away.

So to celebrate these 15 years and our last weeks in Thomastown, we invite you to visit our showroom / workshop to view our remaining floor stock and take advantage of the opportunity to purchase some of the last Recycled Lane pieces at discounted prices…starting from 30%off

As 2021 comes to a close, we would like to thank everyone who has supported us and entrusted us to create the signature pieces that now grace your homes and office spaces. Which ever way you choose to see in the New Year, may it be in a way that makes you happy. We look forward to seeing you again or meeting you for the first time in 2022 to create that special piece for your own space. Welcome to Spring and the promise of better weather to enjoy the great outdoors! Here's a one off, bespoke bench seat we created earlier this year. Created from a salvaged hardwood slab, the natural edge and character was maintained as much as possible, resulting in a very comfy and tactile piece of functional art that blends in beautifully with its surroundings. It might be cold in Melbourne this time of year but it doesn't stop us down in the southern part of the country from enjoying the outdoors, especially when it is sunny! This recently delivered A-Frame outdoor table, made from a mixture of recycled hardwoods, has found its perfect spot out on the deck somewhere along the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. No doubt looking forward to being the centre of attention at future gatherings as well as those quiet Sunday mornings. Recently completed and delivered our bespoke, Six Legged Workbench Style Kitchen Island Bench. Includes salvaged & remodelled cedar drawers that fit side-by-side and back-to-back. Sharing our treasured photos of Con doing what he loved best...

It is with a heavy heart that I write this post today...my best friend and partner in life and creativity passed away peacefully last Monday and was laid to rest yesterday...

Con, the master craftsman & inspiration behind Recycled Lane, was responsible for the creation of the countless number of beautiful pieces of furniture many of you have the privilege of owning, whether it be in your homes, offices or eateries. Con was a man who absolutely loved his craft and the only person I can honestly say who loved going to work every single day - even when on holidays he was itching to get back after just a couple of weeks of leisure.

I will be forever grateful I had the opportunity to work alongside Con for 10 years, building up Recycled Lane together and in the process get to meet so many wonderful people, many of whom we have built lasting friendships with. Our 5 years in Northcote, at the shop in High Street, was one of the highlights for him as he got to speak about his craft with so many of you - the other was being able to actualise your ideas & visions. Nothing pleased him more than seeing your satisfied looks upon viewing your finished projects.

We will do our best to continue his legacy and once these restrictions are lifted, welcome you back to our workshop for a look around, a chat and a "cuppa" in honour of a true gentleman.

A lot has happened in our world in the last few months and as much as we would love to have you just drop by our workshop, we have had to make some necessary changes to the way we conduct business to keep us all safe. So in line with government measures to help stop the spread of coronavirus, access to our workshop will only be available by appointment and limited to individuals and couples - not groups. In the meantime, we will continue to take your enquiries via phone and email - best form of contact under these circumstances - whilst completing existing projects.
