Onsite dozer repair

We had a call late last night to see if we could go and repair the centre pivot point on a D5 CAT dozer then the client decided to wait for us to be able to get there this afternoon!

So as a quick fix the diesel Mechanic done a quick repair in the early hours this morning! (he did an awesome job of straightening it and then welding with stick welder)

This afternoon we ground it out and proceeded to weld it out. We added a gusset plate and brace plate to try and prevent the same issue arising again.
90% of the work the dozer is doing is tilted back and sideways so the middle pivot point is constantly stressed!

We got a call from a good client asking can we squeeze in a job …… he had a little mishap with the sweeper on the bobcat a post decided to jump out and ruin his day !
So we pulled the drive motor end apart and got to work
- fabricated new motor mount
- new guides
- new height adjuster
- fabricated a couple of tubes to protect the drive motor and hopefully direct the posts away from the sweeper in future
- coat of paint
