After three months of house renovations and living at Mum’s (thanks Mum!), I got home from the UK and instantly started moving back into my place.

There’s a new kitchen, ensuite, lounge, office, walk-in robe and new floors throughout, so there’s been ALOT to put back together!

First room finished: the lounge. New hardwood floors, a rad new rug and I am loving it!!!

Some of you have been sleeping on this decoupage design… but I see you’re catching up now 😉 And Lila Retamoza’s stunning antique pine dresser makes a very convincing case for it!

The warm timber, the black paint, those beautiful shapes — and the paper looking like it was made for those drawers. This is exactly what happens when the right design meets the right piece. Absolutely stunning. 🖤

London, Mint to Be, Leeds and York… what a trip. 🇬🇧❤️

A little business, a little pleasure — although when your work brings you together with people like these, they’re pretty much the same thing.

Thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome, shared a laugh, came to the event or opened their home. And thank you, UK, for the wonderful hospitality and mostly beautiful weather. I’ve been told I shouldn’t expect that every time. 😂

An extra special thank you to Helena, who popped over from Ireland to be dragged around the joint with me. You made an already wonderful trip that much better.

Heading to Manchester now to start making my way home - with a full heart and a far too full suitcase. ❤️✈️

Oh, this is GOOD. 😍

Another Man’s Treasure has absolutely nailed it with our Cut & Paste decoupage paper. The green, the colour, those handles… what a brilliant piece! 👏

We recently used this design in one of our UK event workshops, and I loved it so much we’ll be doing it again back home. Once was clearly not enough! 😂

Seven years of video calls and we’ve finally made it into the same room! 😂❤️

I’m now in Leeds, staying with the lovely Solly, owner of Posh Chalk and WoodUbend. After all these years chatting, it feels like catching up with an old friend—we’ve just finally removed the screen!

And here we are in all our glamour… Solly in a towel turban and me in leopard print. Naturally. 😂

One of the loveliest parts of this business is the friendships. Who knew it would take me from Australia to Solly’s kitchen? ❤️

Some of our wonderful UK retailers at the Mint to Be retreat 🇬🇧💚👇

Four days of learning, making, laughing and getting to know each other properly. I can’t tell you how privileged I feel to have this community on the other side of the world.

There really is no substitute for meeting in person. Having the time to sit together, swap stories, share what we know and laugh and carry on is so special.

To our UK retailers who couldn’t join us, you were missed, and I hope we get to see you next time.

And to these beautiful, hilarious, brave, kind and clever women — thank you for making these four days what they were. I can’t wait to see you again. Maybe in Australia next time… I’ll put the kettle on. 🇦🇺❤️

Our ‘Skin’ decoupage paper getting the glossy treatment 😍

This beautiful piece by Rustic Revival is finished with resin, bringing out those rich colours and giving all that lovely detail its moment. There’s a lot to look at here, and we’re quite happy to keep looking.
