Ceppo Calda takes its character from the raw look of concrete combined with selected aggregate for warmth — amber chips, sandy tones, buff stone — ground back to reveal depth that sits close to the surface.

Paired here with Nyra from Odin Tiles + Coverings, the two surfaces hold a consistency of tone without mirroring each other.

Genuine terrazzo starts with two decisions: the aggregate and the matrix.

The stone chips — their size, density, and mix — are set into the binder at casting, then revealed through grinding. That process is what separates it from a printed porcelain look-alike, and it's why a genuine terrazzo surface can be reground and refinished decades later.
