WHY + HOW?

This new build with massive skylight plus 10 air conditioning units and cooling tower on slab . You can walk through this entire roof .
Steel framing is highly conductive to heat, so thermal breaks must be incorporated to prevent heat loss. But what is a thermal break, and where are they required when using steel framing? Remember hot day hot house , cold day cold home .Please refer to Thermal breaks Section 3.12.1.1 Code
