Applying for government funding for your seating?

Many of our customers are schools and clubs, so we understand that budgets are often limited. That's why so many of our customers rely on grants, fundraising or sponsorship to get the seating that they need.

We've created a guide to increase your chances of success.

😎 Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide!

Aussie kids and adults alike are familiar with this iconic slogan, which is part of Cancer Council Australia's SunSmart campaign, one of Australia's most successful public health campaigns.

As we head into the warmer weather, we can help your school become more SunSmart.

Seek: The Seek in the slogan was added in 2007 (with Slide), to complement the existing Slip, Slop and Slap that many of us remember. Seek stands for Seek Shade, and we have a number of sheltered settings that can have students and staff enjoying breaks outdoors while reducing their sun exposure.

Sitting under the shade of one of our sheltered seating options reduces UV radiation exposure by 60% to 90%, making it the perfect addition to your sun safety program.

Our aluminium seating is low maintenance but like any asset, it still needs planned care.

Key takeaways from our latest blog post:

👉 A seating asset register helps councils, schools and facility managers track locations, condition, repairs and future renewal needs.

👉 Regular inspections should check stability, fixings, surface condition and safety issues before small defects become costly problems.

👉 Cleaning schedules should match the environment since coastal areas, school grounds and poolside locations all create different maintenance demands.

With the warmer weather incoming, let's throw back to a project we did for Flagstone State Community College in sunny Queensland!

We upgraded the college's aging timber seating with 14 Monash Sheltered Park Settings, manufactured, supplied, delivered and installed by our team.

We coordinated the install with the term breaks to avoid disruption for staff and students, completing the entire install in just 2 days over the Term 2 holiday period.

If you're looking to upgrade your school's seating, the Monash is a great SunSmart option for schools and community spaces.

Stock standard seating doesn't always fit the bill.

We manufacture our seating in-house, which allows us to customise seating that truly works for you. And we're not just talking about custom lengths (we do that too).

Here are 3 of our favourite seating customisations:

⛱️ Gumbuya World Grandstands with Umbrella Holders: Provide shade to guests while resting or waiting in the adventure park.

🏐 Nar Nar Goon Netball Club Grandstands with Castor Wheels: Allow the grandstand to be wheeled away for easy storage. No lifting required!

🎒 Saint Mary of the Angels Secondary College Custom Timber Seating: As part of a larger project, we customised these seats to fit their existing concrete platform.

Thinking of upgrading your outdoor furniture?

🤔 Here are the things you need to consider:

👉 How many people need to be seated during peak times?
👉 Will customers be eating, waiting, watching, resting or gathering?
👉 Does the layout need accessible seating or wheelchair-friendly access?
👉 Is the area exposed to sun, rain, moisture or wind?
👉 Will the furniture need to be moved, cleaned or rearranged regularly?

We explore the use of aluminium seating in commercial spaces in our latest blog article. Find answers here: https://ap1.hubs.ly/H01nMwS0
