The Rotary club of The Granite Belt and the Stanthorpe Golf Club are inviting patrons to 'Kick up Your Heels' and enjoy the 2026 Melbourne Cup.
The event has been widely advertised on Facebook and organisers have become aware of a fake advertising page promoting inaccurate information, including offers of golf rounds for members and non-members, inflated ticket prices, and incorrect contact details.

So If you are still looking for somewhere to "Kick up Your heels" this Melbourne Cup Day, the Rotary Club of the Granite Belt and the Stanthorpe Golf Club present a fabulous Melbourne Cup Day Luncheon at the Stanthorpe Golf Club.
The festivities begin at 10.45 am on Cup Day, welcoming early birds to the traditional Chicken and Ch*****ne Luncheon.
Guests will be treated to a complimentary glass of ch*****ne on arrival, followed by a delicious charcuterie board and a selection of hors d'oeuvres. Lunch will feature succulent chicken, freshly carved leg ham, and a variety of fresh and interesting salads.
To round out the menu, guests can indulge in a tempting selection of homemade desserts, including Mary's much-loved traditional tiramisu.
Watch all the excitement of the Melbourne Cup live on the big-screen TV and be sure to purchase your ticket in one of the Melbourne Cup sweeps before the race begins.
Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their Cup Day finery, with prizes awarded for:

• Best Dressed Gentleman
• Best Hat
All this is available for just $50 per person.
The Stanthorpe Golf Club will be operating the bar, with proceeds from the day directed to local charities through the Rotary Club of the Granite Belt.
