We ordered these coffee tables BECAUSE they were described as COCKTAIL TABLES 😁.
And the finish being described as "Rustic Timber Top Burnished Gold Base".
We saw no images ...we ordered sight unseen 😬.
But who could resist with a description of "Cocktail Table".
It sounds so inviting.
Lounging around drinking cocktails and snacking on canapes and hors d'oeuvre .
Both words are delicious!
Hors d'oeuvre (pronounced or-DERV) - a small, flavorful one- or two-bite dish served before a meal or during a cocktail party.
Anyway... you don't have to be brave...you can inspect before purchasing... only 3 in stock.
Pop in to see all our new ranges.
13 - 15 Horne Street, Sunbury.
Easy off street parking.

Today is the day we wanted to stay in bed..

Insomnia is a terrible affliction, but on the up side, there’s only three sleeps ‘til Christmas.

I think I have come up with a way to induce sleep in 5 minutes or less but I wonder if it only works for me?

Would anyone be willing to try this strange thing I have come up with?? It works for me every time and I have no idea why (any sleep or brain experts out there, please weigh in)!!. Please let me know if this works for you. Here’s what I do…

(1) get really comfy and make sure hands are covered and warm (important step)! Take as much time and as many adjustments as you need.
(2) close your eyes
(3) breathe in through your nose, and on the inhale , look upwards towards the top of your head (behind closed lids) as far back as you possibly can
(4) as you exhale through your nose, bring your eyes to the LEFT side ( look left, behind closed lids) , hold them there a second, and then relax them down to neutral
(5) repeat steps (3 ) and (4) - slowly inhaling — eyes up, and exhaling — eyes left and then neutral.
Before I do this 10 times I am asleep!!! 😴
Did I discover some ancient sleep secret or am I just boring myself to sleep?

Also ... try this, think of a word eg- Table. Start with the first letter and think of as many things that you can that start with T. Also visualise that thing. Tortoise, tambourine, tomato etc. When you've exhausted that list, move on to the next letter. I only ever get to the second letter of the word and I'm asleep.

AND if you have postural or mobility issues... maybe an electric adjustable bed frame and appropriate mattress is the key.
Remember - we are located at 13-15 Horne Street, Sunbury - STOCKISTS of MLily Products.
The iActive 20 bed frame is our recommended model.
There is a range of different mattresses to suit and we will give you professional guidance specifically for your needs.

SO ...
"Better late than never, ye scallywag!"

"Better late than never, by Blackbeard's ghost!"

THE BLOCK ON THE HILL. Sunbury.
A contentious subject to be sure.
However ... I would like to take a step back and hope just maybe that this time past episodes of "The Block" do not have to dictate future format.
As in ...does "The Block" HAVE to follow their past examples?
Maybe this time it might be more like a Kevin McLeod "Grand Designs" episide than the bogan personality clash show of - "The Block".
Grand Designs takes the time to showcase the unique traditional tradespeople who still practise age old trades. Such as slate roofers; tuck pointers, tessellated tilers, leadlighters and specialty woodworker crafts people.
Rare trades but interesting. Some of these specialists live right here in Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges.
Wouldn't it be amazing to see the renovation teams working in a collaborative style rather than combative.
It would certainly make the show more enticing for me. More about the building and history and less about the personalities.
Am I being a dreamer?

In the meantime- let's remember... this development will be strictly monitored by the Heritage Authorities. I would expect nothing will get past them. Then there are the reputations of everyone involved in such an important project that certainly surpasses anything The Block has ever done before.
Lastly there are the cameras and the viewers. Every aspect will be scrutinised.
Consider who else would spend the money on the buildings?
Victorian Government and the National Trust don't have those $$$.
And without big pockets...these buildings are only becoming more neglected.
If a private person or business purchased the property the outcome would be less pleasing.
TV shows might be useful?
However ... I do wonder at the goal to turn it into five private houses.
Imagine how amazing it would be to renovate into an amazing 5+ star POSH Accommodation Hotel.
Sunbury is so close to Melbourne International Airport. It would make for THE MOST AMAZING Conference Centre. Consider a world class art gallery such as the one near Hobart.
It would then lead in to Restaurants and Arts precincts that would welcome everyone.
And bring future and ongoing money and publicity to Sunbury even from overseas.
Either way - the renovators would have the same renovation challenges no matter what the end use is.
Remember Rupertswood was renovated and for a time used for functions. Sadly the interior is no longer open to the public. We could hope the outcome for The Hill might be different.

Can we have any influence?
Do you think they are monitoring local social media?
Perhaps our conversations on this subject can be positive influence .
Instead of being negative ...can we make positive suggestions.
Maybe Channel 9 and Scott & Shelley and Co can be accessed for good in outcomes regarding the incinerator.
Here is a link to The Renovators of Rupertswood (and other Heritage buildings). Perhaps they could be consulted for the show.

With a classical shape and elegant proportions, the Lutyens bench is unmistakably the work of a designer who has an affinity for architectural principles. The Lutyens Bench was designed and created by Sir Edwin Lutyens at the turn of the 20th century, and is now regarded as one of the architect’s finest projects.

Today, the bench remains popular and has become synonymous with Lutyens’s eye for structure, shape and scale. It is equally at home in the grounds of grand mansions and modest patios, and can be seen in gardens around the world.

We have just two (2) Lutyens benches on sale with a perfectly co-ordinated York Black & Gold seat cushion on sale at $699.
Random scatter cushions not included.
