The Volunteer Hub

With the heavy rainfall, please be mindful of wombats.

Rainwater will flood their burrows and therefore mothers with following joeys (some being very small) will be looking for dry and safe areas.

When driving during this heavy rain, please lower your speed and look out for wombats that may be darting across the road in an attempt to evade the deluge.

You may end up with a wombat visitor in dry areas around your property, so don't be alarmed. They will be seeking temporary cover. Once the rain subsides and their burrows dry out, they will depart.

Our wildlife will forever need support after the loss from this years bushfires. 💔

This beautiful koala was hit by a car and left for dead we suspect some time in the early morning hours and only that a caring gentleman seen her sitting on the post and called Ricardo to attend with Renee from Sydney Wildlife (Sydney Metropolitan Wildlife Services) to rescue her.
After assessing her and seeing her ear tags we know it’s Blossom the Koala who was hit back in August last year on Peter Meadows Road and left for dead until Ricardo found her lying on the road.
She was rehabilitated and released back into the wild but now she’s been hit again.

Please pray for our beautiful Blossom and that she makes a speedy recovery.

Must admit I was very nervous but it was nice to be reminded of some of the things achieved in the short time since founding the Volunteer Hub.

It has now been released that 3 BILLION animals were lost during our catastrophic fire season. A loss so great means that we are at the point that every life counts. Next summer will be here before we know it and the Volunteer hub will continue to be a free platform for those needing help to support our wildlife and those that want to help but aren’t sure how. There are so many ways to help big and small. Everyone can be involved.
