🎄 A Heartfelt Thank You from the Hornsby Woodworking Men’s Shed 🎄
On this special day of giving and receiving, we want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who played a part in this wonderful tradition of making toys for children in need. To our talented toy makers, our behind‑the‑scenes Santa’s helpers, and the volunteers who keep the momentum going all year long—your generosity brings real joy into local homes.
We also acknowledge the incredible teams at Wesley Mission and the Salvation Army , who ensure these toys reach families and children who need them most. Their work turns our creations into moments of delight on Christmas morning.
But the impact goes beyond the children receiving a gift. It’s also about the parents—who get to share in their child’s excitement, who feel the relief of meeting expectations in a season that can place enormous pressure on families.
By working together, our Shed helps ease that burden and spreads a little more kindness, dignity, and joy throughout our community.
Thank you to everyone who contributed. You’ve made Christmas brighter in more ways than you know. Thank you to Community Bank Lindfield, Magpies Waitara, Creightons Funerals, Hornsby RSL, and Hornsby Council for their support.

Today we drew the raffle for the red pedal car handcrafted by our late Shed member, Donald Mudford.
Don poured his skill, patience, and pride into every project he touched, and this little car is a shining example of his craftsmanship and spirit.
Although Don is no longer with us, his legacy continues in the things he made and the community he helped shape.
The winning name was drawn with great care by his wife, Margaret Mudford, honouring Don’s memory in the most fitting way.
This pedal car is more than a prize—it is a tribute to Don’s life, his talent, and the joy he brought to others through his work.
Thank you so much to Bendigo Community Bank Lindfield for all your assistance selling tickets and to Deputy Mayor Sallianne - Hornsby Shire Council for your assistance in the process.

We recently enjoyed an amazing Christmas party at Magpies Waitara where they really know how to put on an event. Everything was done so well, all we had to do was turn up and enjoy the great food and celebrate another great year at the Shed together.

Thank You to Our Christmas Toy Hand‑Over Supporters! ✨🎄
The Hornsby Woodworking Men’s Shed is proud to have once again shared the joy of handmade toys with our community. This year’s handovers to the Salvos & Wesley Mission, with support from Bendigo Bank, and the Palmdale Group were made possible thanks to the generosity and teamwork of so many.
A heartfelt thank‑you to our incredible toy makers – affectionately known as Santa’s Helpers – and to Ivan Bosnich, our dedicated Toys Coordinator, for guiding the elves and keeping the sleigh on track!
We also extend our appreciation to the Mayor, Councillors, and Steve Fedorow, Director Community & Environment, for their ongoing support and encouragement. Your presence and partnership remind us that community spirit shines brightest when we work together. 🌟
From all of us at HWMS, thank you for helping us make Christmas brighter for families in need. ❤️
