EMT is a global multinational group of companies linked together by common products and markets. EMT Pty Ltd Sydney, is the Group’s Engineering and Project Company formed over two decades ago to service local infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing and commercial sector’s engineering project requirements across a diverse and multi discipline engineering environment. EMTs competent and growing project teams are backed up by our own EMT OMEC product sales division that specialises in Electric Motors and drives.

Our History:

EMT is a fully fledged Australia based Engineering Project business providing engineering services for infrastructure utilities, industry and commercial operations across a wide sphere of disciplines including, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Our capability extends from consulting, through design, drafting services, project management, site contracting, and general engineering as needed for turnkey projects, site upgrades, and shutdown works.

Today EMT has a global presence with manufacturing and sales outlets in China, India & Australia. In recent years the Australian business has been restructured by creating two separate operating companies, EMT which is our projects business and EMT OMEC which is our product sales business.

OUR HISTORY :
From its humble beginning as an Electric Motor rewinding company over 25 years ago, EMT is now a global company with a diverse Engineering Service and Product offering. Over the decades the EMT Group has evolved into an Electric Motor company in its own rite, whilst its original service and repair division has evolved into the fully fledged EMT Engineering Project company. Our Australian business units are underpinned by our international product manufacturing companies.

EMTs Project division has the capability to take on turnkey project work in the role of a main contractor, and as a subcontractor into existing projects where our specific expertise is required. Our ability is as diverse as the term Projects can be. We have over the years undertaken many large Electrical and Mechanical projects for local Water Authorities, Large Industry, Municipalities as well as providing specialist skills packages into large projects managed by other project houses.

EMTs Mobile field technicians are on call 24/7 to undertake emergency breakdown repairs as well longer duration work scope than cannot be undertaken during conventional working hours including holiday periods and night work. Our own product house operating division, and engineering machine and fabrication workshop provides an effective support base that allows us to function independently of external service or material providers in difficult situations when required.

The teams carry certification for and are experienced in most arduous work environment including confined spaces, heights, and hot work areas. Whilst our main fields of expertise relate to Electric Motors, Pumps, Air Movement, Chiller plants, Compressors and most other rotating electrical and mechanical plant, we will undertake a wide scope of work including Electrical, Civil and Safety Systems where needed.

Project: Remove, Fabricate, Install and Commission Infrastructure at Forbes WFP
Client: Forbes Council
Scope included:
✓Inspect, measure and refabricate new rake arms to exact dimensions of removed arms
✓Pre-fabricate new feed well drum as to exact standard and dimensions of feed well drum.
✓Install and commission new rake arms, feed well and top drive assembly, as well as all other ancillary.
✓Remove & replace new access gantry to the central hub.
✓Review and replace the switch mechanism that controls the rake arms in case of any fouling of the arms during movement.
✓Review and replace, if necessary, the centre pipe of the drum.
✓Commissioning, training and as built documentation to be provided

Project: Raw Water Pump Replacement Construction
Client: ROUS County Council
Scope included:
•Detailed design and certification of all works including site investigations required to complete design.
•Supply of all new equipment, instrumentation, cabling, piping, valves, fasteners and consumable including additional required for testing and commissioning.
•Supply of all construction equipment, cranage, tools and gear to complete works.
•All civil and structural works.
•Mechanical and Piping installation.
•Electrical, instrumentation and controls installation
•Testing & Commissioning of pumps, plant and equipment

BUNDANOON DAM AERATION PROJECT:
Project: Removal and installation of aeration system
Client: Wingecarribee Shire Council
Scope included:
✓Remove existing compressor plant and associated control gear
✓Manufacturing and installation of diffusers 30 meters under water approximately with half kilometre of air housing
✓Manufacturing of manifold system for operation of 3 diffuser units
✓Renovation of compressor house and install inlet filters
✓Supply and install 2 x new high flow Compressors and air reservoir tanks
✓Construction of above water air pipe work and control manifolds
✓Commission plant and training of council staff
✓Design, construction and installation of submerged aeration system
✓Connect submerged piping and aerators to above ground reticulation
✓Dry and Wet Commissioning of whole aeration system.

REFURBISHMENT OF CLARIFIER & SED.TANK:
Project: Refurbishment of Clarifier & Sedimentation Tank
Client: Hawkesbury City Council Scope included:
•Removal of all the mechanical and electrical component parts
•Clean and prepare tanks for rebuild
• Concrete repairing work on both the tanks
•Epoxy coating of surfaces where specified
•Fabricate all replacement components in 316 grade stainless steel
•Reconstruct the clarifier using the new 316 stainless components
•Replacement of electrical control gear and slipring assembly
•Testing and commissioning.
