The School OT is a mobile Occupational Therapy Service for Children under 12, in the Drummoyne, Canada Bay, Hunters Hill and Leichhardt Local Council areas of Sydney, NSW. Children can be seen for individual sessions at school, preschool or home. The service is run by Alison Hill (BAppSc OT), a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with expertise in the areas of fine and gross motor development, sensory processing and optimising opportunities for learning for children of all abilities.

The WHY is key..
“Not listening is rarely an active choice to make the speaker upset. If a child is not listening, get curious about why. What is getting in between the verbal message and the child’s brain? Then adjust your proximity, tone, volume, simplify it, make it visual, but before all this, make sure the child feels comfortable and safe.”
