Hotel Irada: a study in detail, proportion and personality.
Warm timber, graphic stone, sculptural lighting and unexpected pattern come together in interiors that feel layered rather than decorated. There’s a confidence in the mix, classical references sitting comfortably alongside bolder, more contemporary forms.
It’s the kind of approach we’re continually drawn to at Thomas & Hurley: pieces with character, considered details and interiors designed to become more interesting with time.
A little inspiration for the Thomas & Hurley | Interiors moodboard.

A little country house, a little coastal ease, and just enough polish.

Open & closed
Small in scale, significant in the room. The Fremont Bedside Table adds storage and character to the everyday rituals of the bedroom.
The drawer fronts introduce a subtle architectural motif, with an open shelf for the things you want close at hand, and drawers below for everything you would rather keep quietly concealed.
In white, the Fremont becomes quiet and luminous, perfect alongside linen, pale timber, panelled walls and layered neutrals.
In black, the same silhouette becomes more dramatic, a graphic counterpoint for soft upholstery, warm timber and lighter bedroom palettes.
Beautiful proportions, useful storage and a place for everything you reach for each day.
At Thomas & Hurley, we design even our smaller pieces with the same attention to form, proportion and enduring detail.

Through the looking glass
Sometimes the most evocative interiors are the ones that leave part of the story untold.
A room after breakfast.
A suitcase somewhere out of view.
The afternoon still undecided.
A room glimpsed rather than presented, a story beginning at the edge.

Oak, naturally
Natural oak, quiet proportion and a table designed around the simple pleasure of gathering.
The character of natural oak needs very little embellishment.
Grain, warmth and subtle tonal variation give every surface its own personality.
One design, two ways of gathering. At 180cm, the Lofthouse creates intimacy. At 240cm, it becomes the centre of larger gatherings.
The Royston Dining Chairs bring softness, repetition and comfort to the composition.
Another course. Another glass. Another story. At Thomas & Hurley, dining furniture is designed around more than proportion and material.
It is designed around the moments that happen when people come together.

Contrast, meet character
Rough stone meets finely woven linen. Dark iron traces delicate lines overhead against pale plaster. A deeply layered bed sits within architecture that feels substantial and enduring. Even the muted rug beneath introduces pattern without disturbing the stillness.
Luxury here is not polished to perfection, but tactile, relaxed and slightly softened around the edges.

There is plenty of inspiration here, and at Thomas and Hurley we're always drawn to interiors which feel collected. Dark timber or black accents against softer upholstery can perform the same role as the iron chandelier in this room, introducing definition without overwhelming the composition, and mixing complementary periods, finishes and silhouettes works to create a rich sense of personality, longevity, and style.

Order, out in the open
The beauty of open shelving lies in balance. Books, ceramics and artwork bring personality, while the lower cabinetry keeps the room feeling calm, composed and well defined.
With display space above and concealed storage below, the Stonefield Bookcase TV Media Entertainment Wall Unit balances practicality with a distinctly refined point of view.
It's a reminder that an entertainment wall doesn't need to feel overly technical or visually heavy. The Stonefield range integrates entertainment, storage and display into something that feels elegant, timeless and easy to live with.
