Old Coast Road - Stanwell Park
Shortly before our other Stanwell Park project (across the road) we had a client come to us with his own design. The Stanwell Park bar was to be built in an ex hotel in one of the coolest bunkers/man caves Ive seen.
Our client fully designed this himself with remnants of the previous owner to be recycled and incorporated into this project.
The previous owner had created these old school medieval sort of lamps/torches which you will see hanging around the room as we walk you through this project. The steel door was salvaged and powder coated too. Matt had asked us originally for any input and one thing that he requested was for the bar to be built in walnut. We suggested using American Oak and then we can stain and tone it darker so it was more consistent throughout the bar and wall panelling around the perimeter of the room. The bar definitely has medieval flare with King Arthurs sword hanging in the middle of the rear wall, the medieval torches hanging around the room, corbells around the bar and is like furniture you would find in an American/Canadian underground venue…
You definitely don’t get to build this sort of joinery often and we enjoyed every step of the way down to the grain matching of every panel.

Randwick - Nestled by the pool perch this exterior bbq/ bar area is a step aside from the outer entertaing area. Using MDF heat cured with vinegar it will never swell and the grfc will never discolour while you could literally hose it till the cows come home and let it sit in the rain…
Loving the UV poly mixed in with GRFC and Nagoya Malakh artisan Japanese ceramics pieced together…
