The bathroom, redefined.

Some bathroom collections follow trends. Others quietly endure.

Modern Classics, Made in Italy by Olympia Ceramica.

Milady and Impero explore two distinct interpretations of timeless bathroom design — from floating architectural minimalism to classical permanence.

Though visually different, both collections share a quieter Italian design philosophy centred on restraint, longevity and lasting relevance beyond short-term trend cycles.

DECUS. Form Controlled.

Resolved through softened geometry and refined proportion, Decus defines restraint in contemporary bath design. Sculptural yet composed, its controlled silhouette and chamfered base establish a quieter architectural language within the space.

Designed to feel calm, refined and grounded within contemporary interiors, Decus reflects a softer approach to freestanding bath design — where form, proportion and atmosphere work together with clarity and restraint.

One idea. Two resolutions.

A sculptural basin where proportion and geometry are carefully controlled.

Equilibrium 1 and Equilibrium 2 explore variation through height and volume — maintaining a consistent design language while shifting presence within the space.

A contemporary interpretation of the terrace typology, shaped by a disciplined approach to form, material, and planning.

Revisiting Portman Street — where sculpted brickwork establishes rhythm across the façade, while internally, a restrained material palette extends through to the bathrooms, allowing form and proportion to define the space.

Designed by Smart Design Studio, the project reflects a modernist approach where clarity and resolution underpin the architecture.

Colour, Controlled.

The Nur basin in Matt Lemon, by ALICE Ceramica , introduces colour in a considered way — maintaining clarity of edge, proportion and internal geometry.

Softened form and refined detailing allow the basin to integrate naturally within contemporary bathroom spaces, without visual excess.

A subtle shift, but a deliberate one.

Great to be back at Sydney Design School with Tony Rowlands, sharing how bathroom design comes together in practice.

From small space planning to materials, performance and long-term value, the session covered the thinking behind good bathroom design — where function and aesthetics need to work together.

Always a rewarding session. Thanks to Sydney Design School and Michelle Burke for the invitation — and a delight to meet the next generation of interior designers.

Form. Refined. Architectural cohesion in practice.

Encore by Mingara is an 86-room hotel on the NSW Central Coast, designed by Marchese Partners and recognised at the 2025 Newcastle Excellence in Building Awards.

Clarity, consistency, and long-term performance shape the interiors — particularly within the bathrooms, where elements were resolved as part of a cohesive composition.

Studio Bagno supported the bathroom specification, helping ensure the final outcome aligned with both design intent and the practical demands of hospitality use.
