What happens when your shop becomes more sophisticated than your software?

Workarounds start creeping in.

Your engineering team manually adds information the software can't handle. Production relies on notes, drawings, or tribal knowledge. Small repetitive tasks become accepted as “just part of the process.”

This is where the flexibility of Cabinet Vision's User Created Standards (UCSs) can make a real difference.

UCSs allow you to build your own manufacturing rules and automation into Cabinet Vision. Instead of changing your processes to fit the software, you can configure the software around the way your shop actually works.

Take CNC labels as a simple example.

Cabinet Vision can automatically use information already captured in the design to identify:

→ Door opening direction
→ Drawer position and order
→ Grain match groups
→ Different descriptions for doors and drawer fronts

The assembler gets more useful information without the engineer manually renaming parts or adding another step to the workflow.

And that's just one application.

UCSs can automate repetitive decisions, standardise manufacturing information and help solve workflow challenges specific to your operation.
