A Carve Designs original.
Helical twist candle holder, handmade from recycled plywood and finished with eco friendly, natural plant based oil, complete with aromatic candle and glass.

Inspired, conceived and born from a desire to create something from the never ending waste generated in the workshop from larger projects, this is the first in a line of signature design homewares and small furniture pieces that I will be putting up for sale over the next few weeks and months, directly here and through online platforms as well as some selected local markets.

A percentage of the sale price will also be going to The Tenkile Conservation Alliance to support the conservation work they are doing in Papua New Guinea

When I started with Carve Designs, the underlying idea was to eventually be able to build a business that would fit with my ethos, and used practices and materials that were eco friendly, sustainable and environmentally sound, not always an easy thing to do.
I wanted to do something positive that would give back and try to offset some off the destruction and needless waste that my profession creates.
So now I'm going to put my money where my mouth is and start by donating a percentage of my future profits to a couple of select small conservation organizations that are making a difference around the world and helping to stop deforestation and species extinction.
I'm starting with these guys in the video, a small NGO called the Tenkile Conservation Alliance doing great things in Papua New Guinea.

I hope to develop links and relationships with people and organizations like this that I can intereact directly with in the future and hopefully get on the ground to help out and see where the money is going.
I'll kick things off too by donating $1 for every like and share that this post generates......hopefully it doesn't go viral and bankrupt me...
