🌾 More fan hours don't always mean better grain quality!

Running your fans in unsuitable conditions can introduce unwanted moisture, waste electricity and make it harder to maintain grain quality.

GrainSafe Controllers take the guesswork out—automatically choosing suitable conditions to protect grain quality and cut unnecessary fan hours. 💡

🌾 Grain’s in the silo—what mode should you use?

For grain harvested at receivable moisture content, select AUTO on your GrainSafe 7000. The controller uses its intelligence to choose suitable conditions for aeration, working through the cooling stages before moving to Auto Protect.

It’s a set-and-forget mode that gives you peace of mind while your grain is in storage.

It’s not just what you install — it’s how you install it. 🌾🔧

When it comes to grain storage, the little details can have a big impact on how well your system performs.

Correct positioning, airflow, electrical setup and equipment selection all play a part in getting the best result from your aeration and storage system.

In this reel, we’re looking at some of the critical things we consider when installing grain storage equipment on site.

Because getting it right from day one means better performance, fewer headaches and a system that’s ready to work when harvest hits. 👌

📱🌾 Harvest is busy enough without driving back to the silos just to check what's happening.

Before harvest gets underway, it's worth checking that your grain storage remote access is connected, online and ready to go.

With remote access to your GrainSafe and GrainWatch systems, you can keep an eye on your grain storage from your phone or computer — whether you're in the paddock, in the header or away from the farm.

Depending on your setup, you can:
📊 Monitor grain conditions
🌡️ Check temperature and humidity data
⚙️ Keep an eye on your aeration system
📱 Access information without being physically at the silo

Because during harvest, one less trip back to the silos is always a win.

Already have remote access? Now is the perfect time to log in and make sure you're ready for harvest.

Good grain storage doesn’t start when there’s a problem — it starts with getting the basics right. 🌾👌

A few simple best-practice habits can make a big difference when it comes to protecting grain quality, improving aeration performance and avoiding unnecessary headaches throughout storage.

With harvest approaching, now is the perfect time to check your setup and make sure you’re ready before the pressure is on.

✅ Check your equipment
✅ Get your aeration ready
✅ Stay on top of stored grain conditions
✅ Fix the little things before they become big things

Good preparation now = one less thing to worry about during harvest.

🧹Pre-Harvest Hygiene🌾

Old grain and grain residue left around silos, augers and handling equipment can provide the perfect place for stored-grain pests to hang around between seasons.

Before the new crop arrives:
✓ Remove old grain and residue
✓ Clean around silo bases
✓ Check augers and grain-handling equipment
✓ Clean inside empty storages where appropriate
✓ Remove spilled grain around the site

A little housekeeping before harvest can go a long way towards protecting the quality of the grain you're about to put into storage.

Start clean. Store smart. Protect your grain.

💨 When did you last actually test your aeration fans?

If the answer is “probably last harvest…” — now is a good time. 👀

Before grain starts going into storage, switch your aeration system on and make sure everything is operating as it should.

Listen for unusual noises or vibration, check that the fans are actually running and make sure airflow isn't being restricted.

It sounds simple, but finding a problem before the silo is full is much easier than finding one in the middle of harvest.

🌾 Test it now. Thank yourself later.
