On Thursday 18th of July Marnie and Neil did a big clean up and revamp of our long fish pond. It took a few hours of back breaking work and what a difference. Just look at it! Big thank you to both of them. well done!

On Friday 17th May, we held our annual “Biggest Morning Tea” for Cancer Council Queensland.

The Committee worked very hard to make sure it was a very successful day. In the kitchen Trish S., Peta, Margaret c., Jan and Marylynne made sure the morning tea was great. A big thank you to Ellen and Christine M for making and donating the Quiche, Geordie and Braden Honnery for the donation of the delightful sausage rolls, Marg P. for donating the lovely array of sweets.

On the door you would have seen Gwenda taking entry money, Peta and Bob Parkes for selling Cent Sale tickets and Number Board Tickets, Del selling Raffle tickets . The Raffles of croquet throws were donated by Eunice Watts and Lola Tickle.

We were pleased to have Andrew Robinson (Our Member for the Council) and Teagan Alloway from Cancer Council Queensland join us and give a small speech.

There was a special prize in our cent sale which came all the way from Paisley, Scotland. A family Member of the Purdon’s sent two parcels of goodies for our Morning Tea. What a thrill it was the receive them. Each person received a Scottish Tea Bag and I'm sure Mandy would have been delighted that we were able to use it as a prize.

Another busy happy hour, even with our cooler weather today and our community hall all set up for the Mother's Day Morning Tea.
