Little Yarra Free Range Eggs We are a small acreage focussing on sustainable farming. We will soon be producing lovely free range eggs, with more produce to follow in the coming year.

Our chickens roost and lay inside a mobile caravan that is moved onto fresh pasture daily. The chickens are kept safe from foxes behind electric poultry netting, and also have the protection of our old but trusty dog Sweep.

These lovelies are being crated tonight to move to a new van down in the back paddock (the grass is always greener 🤣).
To save us catching them twice, anyone that wants some can pick up tomorrow morning (the earlier the better). We have a few things keeping us busy over the coming weeks, so if you miss this day, we won’t have any more available for a while. These girls are 14 weeks old and $40 each.

These beautiful Australorp x will be 16 weeks old this coming Thursday (8th October). We will be selling about 30 or so; they are $45 each and pick up is between 8-10 am next Saturday (10th October) from Launching Place. You will need to bring a box, and sorry no - we don’t offer card payments.

How cute is this? 4 week old Australorp x and Leghorn x catching dust particles in the little ray of sunshine ☀️
Happy Friday everyone 😁

Eggs are currently available at the main shed for a couple of days. It seems we have a new job to attend to 🙄😂

Thanks to everyone that came yesterday and today and collected our hens. Apologies for those that missed out or that we haven’t responded to (it’s been a hectic couple of days!)
Here’s a video that we’d thought we’d share - it’s the same production system we use, so shows why what we have been asked to do (lockdown) is not really possible.

As we are a poultry farm with more than 50 birds, we are required to lock our birds up for the next 14 days due to the bird flu. This is not how we like to see our beautiful girls live, so have decided to offer a few a “lucky escape”. If you have less than 50 birds, you can still let yours free range, so if you have room, from this afternoon and tomorrow we have the following:
About 30 - 19 week old Australorp x hens for $45 each, and
About 50 - 11 week old Australorp x, and about 15 - Isa Brown hens for $30 each

The photo is a rooster, he is not for sale 😂

Please text Glenn on 0407 331 117 if you would like to purchase some.
