Meet Mark, the creative and visionary partner who knows how to turn ideas into reality! 💥 With a passion for product design, Mark studied in the Netherlands and later embarked on an exciting journey alongside his twin brother, founding their first company, De Fabricant. Together, they focused on solving problems in the most imaginative ways, using the perfect blend of wood and steel.

But Mark's entrepreneurial spirit didn't stop there! He went on to establish Fabriek aan de Eem, a vibrant workspace that welcomes all kinds of business owners. This dynamic environment fosters collaboration, innovation, and growth, making it the ultimate hub for creative minds.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mark's love story adds an extra touch of magic. In 2015, he met his Aruban wife, and their connection blossomed into something extraordinary. By the end of 2018, they took a leap of faith, embarking on a new chapter together as they moved to Aruba. Immersed in the beauty of the island, Mark found inspiration for his next big adventure, sparking exciting brainstorming sessions with Jaap and fueling his creative spirit.

Happy King’s Day! 🧡 Today we wanted to highlight this amazing piece by Adorée Lifestyle Concrete and Paul Wong which was given as a gift to the king during their visit to Aruba. We collaborated with the stand in which the piece is displayed made with metal and American Walnut wood. 🇳🇱🇦🇼

Meet Jaap! 🖥 Jaap is driven and practical, with a talent for executing projects and creating 3D sketches.

Jaap started his career in electrical engineering by working for a small company in the Netherlands where he learned how to do small projects such as installing lights and electrical work, plumbing, heating systems, social projects, and maintenance. After 10 years, he became self-employed and started doing freelance electrical work, eventually expanding to kitchen and bathroom design and installation. He learned to do projects from start to finish, which is what he loves the most, and even started his own company "Van Stoer Staal" in the Netherlands in 2016 so he could be more productive and creative.

Jaap and his wife Ilona always had to desire to go to a third World country to work as a volunteer but due to his wife's work as a pediatric nurse, they ended up moving to Aruba in 2018 for one year. While here, Jaap became a kitesurfing instructor (who would've thought😜), but eventually decided to stay in Aruba, sell his company in the Netherlands and shipped his tools and some materials to Aruba. He began working for local companies, eventually partnering with some of them and becoming friends with others.

A surreal project inspired by Dali's famous melting clocks, of the piece "Persistence of Memory". 🖼 Made entirely of wood. A real conversation starter and unique way to incorporate art in your spaces.
