Antwerp based Upholstery specialist | 2006 | Working with architects, interior-architects, designers as well as private clients.

Bea Joppen (°1966) werkt sinds jaren als zelfstandig stoffeerster. Haar gevoel voor authenticiteit en schoonheid en haar durf dreven haar jaren geleden naar deze bijna met uitsterven bedreigde ambacht. Steeds meer mensen ontdekken de mogelijkheden die er zijn met een oud stoffig zeteltje, ze willen gedurfde kleuren en dessins in hun living of ze zien de waarde in van een restauratie. In 2007 opende Bea haar eigen atelier in een oude snoepfabriek in de Kroonstraat in Borgerhout. Na enkele jaren werd dit atelier te klein en in 2013 verhuisde Bea naar een oud industrieel bedrijfspand aan het Albertkanaal in Merksem. Bea volgde naast haar opleiding stofferen ook diverse cursussen kleur- en verftechnieken. Je kan bij haar terecht voor zowel klassiek, modern als gecombineerd stofferen: antieke zetels, moderne salons, losse kussens maar ook totaalprojecten.

The Arcus Sofa by Tim Vranken

A monumental 4.2-metre sofa inspired by architectural fragments of the past. Its solid American walnut structure plays with the rhythm of columns and arches, softened by generous cushions upholstered in tactile h**p fabric.

A first look inside .restaurant, chef Tom Loockx’s new restaurant in Antwerp.

For the interior, designed by Yoeran Stranger, we upholstered the banquettes and chairs in deep red leather and created a 2.10 × 3.30 metre leather curtain. One material carried throughout the space, adding warmth, texture and a bold architectural statement.

Seagull Chair by Gösta Berg & Stenerik Eriksson for Fritz Hansen, 1968.

Produced for only five years, this rare lounge chair is defined by its organic, wing-like silhouette and slender aluminium base. Restored to its former glory and reupholstered in warm cognac leather, allowing its sculptural design to take centre stage once again.
