organised this afternoon-gathering in a field and we are very glad she did. There is something about watching children take a party seriously, the pouring, the negotiating, the very important business of choosing where to sit, that makes you want to get out of the way and let them get on with it.We enjoy seeing this so much, their smiles are all what we work for.

The Charlie Chair is light enough to carry into a field. The Luisa Table does not mind the grass. Neither minds the spill that comes later. That was, from the beginning, the whole point.

This summer, our colleague Youssef gathered his family and friends for a beach clean-up at a local beach in Mallorca where he grew up.

No brief, no campaign. Just a person who cares about the place he loves, and the people around him who feel the same.

It's one of the things we're most proud of at ecoBirdy: the people we work with share the same values we design around. A cleaner world for the next generation isn't just something we make furniture for. It's something we show up for.

Today is World Cleanup Day. If you can't join a clean-up near you, share the awareness. Every day is a good day to show we care about our planet.

A new school year, a new reason to create something beautiful.

At ecoBirdy, every detail around a child matters. An ergonomically designed chair, a table at the right height, materials that are carefully chosen for parents to rely on. These are the conditions for real creativity to happen, allowing kids to be themselves.

That belief led ecoBirdy to discover .official, a small Slovenian maker who starts from exactly the same place: the conviction that children deserve better than compromise. Just as ecoBirdy's furniture is made from recycled plastic collected in Europe and crafted in Italy with care at every step, Medenka's beeswax crayons and clay are handmade in Slovenia from 100% pure European beeswax and organic pigments.

Two brands, built on the same foundation of sustainability, craft and responsibility toward the next generation.

ecoBirdy's Charlie Chair got selected for the Designing Childhood exhibition at because good design for children has always been about more than aesthetics. It's about how we think about childhood itself. We're grateful to Design Museum Brussels for believing that ecoBirdy belongs in that conversation.

To be featured alongside Richard Sapper, Jean Prouvé and Bruno Munari in an exhibition co-organised with is not something we expected when we started making furniture from recycled plastic toys in Antwerp.

The Charlie Chair is named after Joris and Vanessa’s, ecoBirdy’s co-founders and designers, godchild Charlie. A name that carries a real human connection, one that has been at the heart of this company from the very beginning. Seeing it on the wall of a museum, in conversation with a century of design history, means more than we can easily put into words.
