🌱 Sustainability is a journey we continue together.
Achieving our UNITAR SDG Pioneer certificate in 2024 was an important milestone for Haelvoet, but certainly not the finish line.
As part of our ongoing SDG Pioneer journey, we have established an internal SDG working group, bringing together colleagues from different departments to share their knowledge, experiences and ideas.
The SDGs, or Sustainable Development Goals, are 17 global goals defined by the United Nations that address social, economic and environmental challenges. They provide a framework that helps us approach sustainability in a structured way and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Why an interdisciplinary working group? Because sustainability is not the responsibility of one department alone. By combining different perspectives and expertise, we can better identify priorities, launch new initiatives and further integrate sustainability into our policies and day-to-day operations.
A meaningful next step in our SDG Pioneer journey, shaped by colleagues from across Haelvoet. 🤝
