I can hear you way before you think I can — your voice, music, even arguments. So talk to me, sing to me.
🤍 I feel your stress. When you're overwhelmed, my heart rate changes too. Breathe for both of us.
🤍 I'm not a blank slate at birth — I already recognize your voice, your heartbeat, your smell.
🤍 Those "just kicks" are me responding to sounds, light, even the food you eat.
🤍 I sleep and have cycles in there too — I'm not awake and kicking 24/7, even if it feels that way to you.
🤍 The bond doesn't start the day I'm born. It's already happening now.
🤍 You don't have to have it all figured out. I just need you — not perfection.
🤍 Every appointment, every prenatal vitamin, every rest you take — I feel the care in all of it.
🤍 By the third trimester, I can even open my eyes and respond to light through your belly.

5 Things That Actually Help in Your First Trimester 🤰🤍
1️⃣ Eat small, frequent meals — an empty stomach makes nausea worse. Crackers by the bed are a lifesaver for morning sickness.
2️⃣ Ginger is your friend — ginger tea, candies, or ginger ale can help settle nausea naturally.
3️⃣ Rest when you can, guilt-free — your body is building an entire placenta right now. Exhaustion is normal, not weakness.
4️⃣ Start your prenatal vitamins (if you haven't already) — folic acid especially is key in these early weeks.
5️⃣ Give yourself grace with the emotions — hormone shifts can bring mood swings, anxiety, or random tears. It doesn't mean anything is wrong.

Nobody tells you this about giving labour...
1️⃣ The shaking. Your body might shake uncontrollably after birth, it's normal. It's just adrenaline and hormones leaving your system.
2️⃣ Contractions don't just hurt your belly. They can radiate to your back, thighs, even your butt.
3️⃣ You might p**p. Everyone's terrified of this. The nurses have seen it a thousand times and genuinely do not care.
4️⃣ The "ring of fire" is a real sensation right before crowning: sharp, intense, and then... relief.
5️⃣ Recovery starts immediately: you may be asked to get up and walk within hours, even after a long labor.
6️⃣ Your emotions afterward are a rollercoaster: hormones crashing is real, and it can hit hard around day 2-3.

When I tell my kids I'll do something 'in a minute'...
What I'm really saying: 'Please, PLEASE forget I said this' 🙏😂
Spoiler alert: They never forget.
