Sometimes I paint, sometimes I stain, but my main goal is to keep furniture from entering our landfill.

A solid wood buffet transformed into a small kitchen island for my son and daughter in law! I started by removing the sliding glass doors and the shelf. I removed the laminate top and part of the skirting to have a level part to add the custom base. I added 1” trim on the drawer fronts to give it a shaker style look. The counter top is acacia butcher block. I made it 12” longer than the unit for a place for a stool. The base is painted in Benjamin Moore’s colour Black Jack and the top and base are stained with Early American. My son and daughter in law love it and it looks amazing in their kitchen!

Our new entertainment stand! I bought this off Facebook marketplace for $40. I took the plastic decorative detail off the two drawers to make it more modern. Added a new custom base stained with Early American. I painted this using Fusion Mineral Paint colour Casement and added new hardware.

A light, refreshing refurbished front entrance or couch table, painted in a light sage for the base and a faux wood look for the top. The drawers have been lined with gold liners to compliment the new hardware. This has been protected with a polyurethane.
