Here’s the first of a few collaboration projects coming to the front of my queue.

A solid white oak trestle base featuring traditional curved details, clean joinery, and a focus on balance and proportion. It’s built to last for generations, with a look that fits in a modern space as well as it does in a more classic home.

Excited to see what Jake from Creative Urban Timber pairs it with for the top!

Another desk I would love to share!

It’s made from book-matched cherry, so the grain mirrors across the top surface. I carried that flow down into a waterfall edge on the side. The drawers are all dovetailed (with a fun little bonus drawer!), and the whole piece has some pretty delicate details that made it a real challenge (and a fun one).

Built right here in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, this is the kind of piece I hope sticks around for generations.

The shop was smelling like fine wine while making this white oak dining table. This was such a beautiful addition to an already beautiful home!

Finished with a repairable Rubio Monocoat and with a solid 2” top this is a seriously sturdy piece. Another one that I hope outlasts myself.

Recently completed blanket chest from red oak. Really fun build that turned out looking really elegant In the end. Lots of dovetails in this one!

I was able to get some cutting boards done leading up to the holidays!

These end grain boards are made mainly of torrefied maple, with the accent wood being the more common hard maple.

Torrefied maple is made by super heating the wood, void of oxygen. This gives it a beautiful brown colour, a lovely maple syrup smell and helps with woods natural reaction to moisture.

Really excited to finally share this kitchen that I’ve completed! This inset face frame cabinetry made from cherry is so warm and cozy and will only get richer with age. I tried hard to combine traditional cabinetry and proportions with modern hardware and features for a project that I am really proud of! Always looking for my next project 😉 !

Ebonized and Textured Oak Kitchen

I completed this project last December. The client was looking for a kitchen that uniquely combined a traditional design with an organic texture - like something that had been there forever. I got to work, and experimented with some finishes and samples. The one that they chose was this beautiful textured and ebonized oak. I was happy when the client entrusted me to combine modern functionality, with this distressed and antique look.

The countertops are made from white oak, with an ebony inlay that ties it all together. The Celtic Knot, also inlayed in the countertop, celebrates the family’s culture. All door and drawers have great functionality with soft close under mount slides and European finishes. Other features include built in garbage, custom cutlery drawer, blind corner pull out tray, and floating shelves.
