Started with a straightforward request to build some closet shelves, but you know how these projects go! What began as basic storage turned into a collaborative design process with the family.

After taking careful measurements and talking through their vision, we ended up with something much more thoughtful than originally planned. Even made it a team effort - went shopping for materials together to make sure we got exactly what we needed.

The best part? Watching a simple idea evolve into custom storage that actually fits their life. Sometimes the most rewarding projects are the ones that grow beyond the initial plan. 🔨

From Winter Helper to Summer Solution! ❄️➡️🌱

Last winter, I lent a hand shoveling snow for a neighbor whose fence took a beating from the heavy snowfall. Fast forward to this summer - he gave me a call to tackle that fence repair!

With some quality lumber and the right process, we transformed those broken sections into a solid, sturdy fence that's ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at it next.

There's nothing quite like seeing a project through from problem to solution. Sometimes helping with the small stuff (like shoveling) leads to bigger opportunities to make a real difference!

IKEA Cabinet Assembly Project:
Last week, I assisted a client with installing an IKEA cabinet in a challenging narrow space between their fireplace and kitchen. The client wanted to maximize storage in this tight area while maintaining a clean, integrated look.

Project Process:
I began by unpacking and inventorying all components to ensure nothing was missing before starting the assembly. Following IKEA's instructions, I assembled the cabinet box by connecting the sides, top, and bottom panels using cam locks and screws for a secure fit. Once the main structure was complete, I installed the back panel, carefully ensuring it was flush and square to maintain the cabinet's structural integrity.

The installation phase required precise measurements due to the narrow space constraints. I mounted the cabinet using IKEA's suspension rail system, which I first attached securely to the wall studs. After hanging the cabinet, I adjusted the legs to ensure perfect leveling, which was particularly important given the proximity to both the fireplace and kitchen cabinetry. Finally, I installed the doors, drawers, and all hardware, making final adjustments to ensure smooth operation and proper alignment.

The result was a seamless storage solution that perfectly utilized the available space while complementing the existing kitchen design.
